I still just want to know who her favorite Sailor Moon character is. If it's not Mercury, then who is it?

Same shit as always.
I make a post.
Vladimir comes swinging at me for no reason.
Witty response from me.
"Ha ur a Mexican!" For the billionth time.
"You're both shitters anyway" says someone else.

This show became stale 10 seasons and a dead showrunner ago.
this shits a riot every time you just have bad taste.

Given the MCU's recent track record I'm skeptical they can pull this off, and half-worried for Daredevil.
The showrunner they have for it made some comment that the Netflix show was fantastic but at its worse, it was just 2 dudes talking. Motherfucker, that was the god damn highlight of the show.

You should be mostly worried for Daredevil. Even if Marvel self-corrects, they've had so much crap in the pipeline they can't just undo it. Plus, well, all 10 layers of middle management have to get their graft. It's not just random government agencies you likely hadn't heard of until last week.

Well, just watched the first two episodes, and its humdrum, at best. They kill off Foggy to make Matt quit being DD again (we know that won't last, what's this the third time?) because he almost kills Bullseye for it, blah blah blah. Fisk is Mayor, and cops have Punisher tattoos who try to kill a Latinx vigilante for accidentally offing an officer. It's too much by-the-numbers and the attempt at real-world parallels feels very wooden and doesn't work as expected.

The MCU needs to TORPEDO all it's plans and soft reboot. it went from a lull in quality to disaster after distaster after disaster and then shit like kangs actor.

Like seriously at this point they have to be losing money enough that it's worth the extra cash to fire the guys in charge and get some better blood on it fire Fagay or at least demote him. get Gunn back at least he guarantees the movie won't absolutely bomb. Hell get Raimi or Watiti (this time without the dumbass attached to him who i entirely blame for the flop that was love and thunder)

Soft Reboot things leading with that works like the TV shows that were good and still have not gotten a follow up like Moon Knight.

Keep Thunderbolts and Fantastic 4 as both are important audiance draws (ive seen a ton of people saying they will start watching MCU stuff again for thunderbolts or F4 or both) drop everything else because let's be honest none of the upcoming shit is interesting.

A new movie to introduce the soft reboot and another one to execute it. I recommend both being focused on the fantastic 4 because there are SEVERAL events that could be retooled into a reboot like endgame did I Personally would do the Negative Zone and Annihilus Twist kill johnny and have reed (sporting attire that resembles The Maker) reset the universe so johnny can live bringing us into the new universe

Where EVERYONE WHO DIED is back on the table fucking killed off so many villains early i swear it's like 20% of marvels current problem you can even have universal stragglers running around which is how you get The Ultimates in the MCU.

they have been "dying" since 1945 (dick tracy) According to a ton of idiots so forgive me if I don't believe you since by all accounts they have been "dying" for about as long as comics have been "dying"

jokes aside i have personally heard it as early as 1997 when going to watch Hercules of all things and then a year later the same guy calling Disney creatively bankrupt because "the sequel to Disney's Hercules is a clear cash grab" for the record he was talking about the universal pictures Hercules and Xena movie.

Point is ill believe movies are dying when comics finally do presumably sometime after Tv . migo me fuckers.

I'll explain myself more: superhero movies are going to go the way of other genres that once dominated the movie screen, like westerns, or noir movies, or blaxploitation, or whatever other genre that grew, became oversaturated before largely dying off years or decades ago. That doesn't mean there won't be superhero movies made in the future, just that they're going to be made sporadically, they're likely going to be "deconstructions" of the genre or more along the lines of auteur cinema, rather than how they're made now, as commercial art. There definitely won't be earnest takes on the genre.

If you want to see the future of superhero movie as a genre, just see how westerns have been treated as a genre after their heyday in the 60s and 70s.

:Fauna-AKSHUALLY: Westerns' heyday was the 1930s to 1950s, their rise partially linked to the great depression that saw a hard shift towards social conservatism and romanticizing rural life and the past (the 1910s to 1920s on the other hand, had a surprisingly strong presence of romanticizing/positive depictions of native American life. By no means dominant, but a visible presence that'd disappear for the next three decades).

By the late fifties to early sixties, the western genre fell off a cliff, courtesy of the emergent social movements of the 1960s not connecting to it and producers noticing that there was a huge urban market eager to be served.

The emergence of Italowesterns (not counted as westerns at all by many fans of classic westerns to this day) softened the blow somewhat, but that boom lasted for less than a decade (1964- 1971 or so). They also emerged in a very different social context (Italian social conflicts, which bleeds all over the genre; where classic westerns were socially conservative, the Italowestern was social revolutionary), and thus appealed to a very different demographic.

None of which matters one iota to the present and future of the superhero genre. You just gave me an in to sperg a little bit about the western genre, and I took it.

Comics aren't dying. They've been dead for decades. What you see now is their reanimated corpse. The inmates are running the asylum and publishing bad fanfiction.

Disney is creatively bankrupt. I don't know how anyone can possibly think otherwise. They've gone from direct-to-video sequels to live-action remakes of animated films. Why would anyone want to watch those?
Italowesterns
I don't think I've ever encountered that term before. It's okay; you can just call them spaghetti westerns.
