"Discord was a mistake" continues to be the only true statement on the internet.
By now I think it's become patently clear that Discord just provides another opportunity for the big british bong to act out. The Discord platform sucks and I hate it, but at this point I feel like he could figure out a way to mismanage a Club Penguin account.

All of this might be true and "(the TVA) discord was a mistake" is an evergreen statement.
But when part of the discussion was limiting undue criticism of staff, I don't know why Discord entered the equation this time.
The discord has honestly been pretty chill recently, no doubt in part because of involuntary downsizing but still.
Everything that happened this spergout happened exclusively on the forum, so dredging up the discord discourse again feels misguided and unnecessary.

It has been the direct pipeline of drama spilling onto the forum like 3-4(?) times. Even if it didn't directly contribute this time, I bring it up because I honestly believe that in the grand scheme of things it has made things worse and not better including this current retardation. If I could go back and prevent it from opening I would do it right now.
You all can tell me what temperature this take is, but I don't ever put my faith in internet communities to stick around and I never have. Either they bleed out and die over time or they become places I choose to leave.
The reality is you will almost certainly never be with an internet community forever, no matter what happens. It will end after you log out one day and then forget to ever log back in, or you could run afoul of some mod or admin that is having a shit fit and get dusted. You might watch them dust someone else (or threaten to do so) and wonder if the point and purpose has been replaced. In the end there's nothing to be done other than having a diverse set of communities to enjoy your hobbies with. That way when one collapses you can just move on. I would like to make it abundantly clear that I can both appreciate this particular place and appreciate the effort that goes into it. Yet also I can have internalized issues with statements that have been made over the past 1.5 years by some mods and the admin. It should go without saying but I don't hate them because it's nearly impossible to dislike someone I know very little about. They have some different opinions than I do about very specific things that I feel could be an overall detriment to the experience here. We'll see how things go and handle everything 1 at a time.
Perfect example of this is Null. I simultaneously believe most of his opinions are akin to those of a brain damaged retard, however his work on the farms is legendary and to be respected. These are not mutually exclusive feelings and can be held at the same time without conflict. I'm not sure where I'm going with this at this point... I guess to give a little tldr; you need to be prepared to jump ship, and it's not contradictory to hold the power structure both in high regard and as fallible retards.
I will still blame the discord
