I don't think comparing Gura to Kiara is exactly fair. Kiara is likely used to failure, rejection, and getting ideas constantly shut down by higher ups due to her previous career as an idol where as Gura mostly made shitpost songs to an audience on youtube.
Getting ideas shut down at work sucks but getting your ideas shut down in a more creative focused environment where often times the idea doesn't even require effort from others at your company outside of yourself would feel far worse. Especially if you're already months deep into a project with money invested and they change their minds.

Kiara is also a very hard worker and even though she is menhera she will keep fighting for what she wants until she gets it.

Part of the reason I checked out of watching so much Hololive is a lot of the time, talent were busy practicing for a concert, traveling to Japan for it, etc.... I just wanted more a regular streamer, I guess
As for Gura, I hope she does better for herself. If she streams, I will watch, ok if she doesn't, but it'll be missed
Whether its some sort of management bullshittery or just a big coincidence (which I don't believe in) it truly feels like Holo is no longer that invincible rock in the sea of dying microcorps and scandals surrounding other big corpos. The god bleeds, let's see how much blood it will lose, before they heal the wound.
As for Gura I feel sadness and irritation.
Sadness, because, of the all amazing memories I had watching her streams and collabs. Irritation, because, for whatever reason she squandered her golden opportunity and instead being one of the greatest entertainers of the digital era, she goes in a sunset with a humiliating "lol, how she is not yet graduated?".
But most of all I tired.
If my theory about deadlines around big events is correct, I won't be surprised, if we see announcement about Ayame relatively soon. She is the only one of the non-streamers left in the company.
I hope after that this horrible wave will be over.
I can't quit Holo since I put too much emotions in the girls, but I am not sure, if I can enjoy it all the same, while having a cloud of girls quitting every month.
Yeah, after years of just brushing Kiara off as someone I don't like, I decided to actually watch and read about her lately. I'm rooting for her success and well being now.
Yeah back in 2019/20 when an event happened it felt like more of a big deal, but now there's lots of stuff I just casually ignore, and I wish more time would be spent streaming or making videos than on concerts or travelling

I know that it sucks, I know really well what it feels like. But my point is that pretty much everyone who's been in Holo for a long period of time has had to put up with retarded roadblocks and struggles. From Suisei basically getting sent out to die way back when, Marine having to dump retarded amounts of dosh and work into her MVs, Mori ending up making her own MVs between albums, concerts, streams, Haachama getting chinked for months and her awful health, everything Kiara's talked about and plenty of other things I can't think of right now. Yes, nobody's work ethic is the same, not all people are equally strong or driven. But if you give a fuck about something, you fight for it, you try. You at least do the bare minimum of streaming a couple times a month.
Yes, perms issues and projects being held up is undeniably a problem on the company side, but I just can't pretend like that was entirely Gura's problem, when so many other people are still getting things done and streaming. Could she genuinely have been treated incredibly, incredibly unfairly? Sure, it's possible, it's always possible. But I just don't see it as likely. And y'know, letting you float for 3 years and collect paychecks for streaming 10 hours a financial quarter isn't my particular example of a hellish workplace.
I'm gonna be honest, I don't think this is the fault of investors, and going public is only tangentially related. I think this is Cover not knowing how to grow. I've always gotten the impression that Cover is a sea of middle managers, likely ones making everything increasingly difficult for talents, ESPECIALLY ones with no tolerance for Japanese corporate bullshit. Combine that with increased paranoia of the corporate image (omg you can't do that shitpost what will the investors think) and most likely not understanding that not everyone is Suisei and Calli and wants to work 24/7 and devote every waking moment to the grind, and you have a company in crisis.
Plenty of companies go public and still keep trucking because they have confidence in what they do. "Of course the investors will like this, they invest in US, they like what we do!" Cover clearly cannot balance this, and cannot make a decision without hyper-fixating on what they think the investors will say. And now they've driven off their golden goose.

Someone has to celebrate in @El Rrata's stead. Anyways the ramifications this graduation will have on the rest of the branch will hilarious. Even Nimi won't be safe and will likely develop brainworms over whether her graduating contributed Gura finally graduating.
At the end of the day, it is easier to manage people nearer to the main HQs (Japan) compared to handling people separated between 7 seas

I don't want to blame Cover, it's fucking hard trying to tard wrangle people from different parts of the world. But at the same time, if the Fauna and Mumei graduations haven't already made them ring the alarm bells, I seriously hope losing the biggest talent they had will.
So the ones who are left in Myth now are the ones with a lot of effort put into being a part of it.
With the dust settling, honestly, I'm actually feeling less sad than I did with Mumei. The older talents will drop one by one, especially if they're not in Japan due to whatever corpo crap they need to do. Companies change etc etc and it's probably easier to go to Japan from Indo than from the US (I've never lived in either so I wouldn't know).
