At least in most games that crib the Genshin gacha system, you can actually save up for the characters you want, and they don't have Genshin's asstastic f2p income. After 3 months of GFL2 I could've gotten a maxed out character for $15 worth of monthly passes, had I not gotten some other characters, and probably also gotten a weapon copy or two.

Oh, it's worse than that. People donate specifically to watch the malding. Admittedly, it can be some great content. The One-Armed Bandit cycle is brutal, but it is great streaming content. Mostly for all of the wrong reasons.

ES6 is turbo-cooked. Even had a low staff turnover of 5%, there's maybe 5 ppl in the entire studio that had anything to do with the epic hit that was Skyrim. That's what happens when you wait too long to make a followup. And you know damn well they won't pay enough to bring in staff that are as competent as the previous ones.
