To be fair, this isn't volleyball but, the one time I decided to watch soccer was during either some Olympics or world cup thing a decade or so ago. The men's soccer was absolutely embarrassing, where a slight tap and a guy would flop acting like a sniper just hit him. Shit, one time a guy got shoved, he went down and just didn't move. Two guys holding a stretcher came out, carried him off, and the moment they got to the sidelines and put him down, he jumped up and walked around like nothing happened. It was a full-blown cartoon; I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
The women's soccer was completely different. It was damn near hockey out there. Girls were just getting decked left and right. Refs weren't blowing whistles for shit. Took some really obvious near-NFL tackles to get the yellow cards to come out. It was a much, much more enjoyable watch.
However, never followed up on the sport since soccer is gay and I'm not a faցցot.
