[ ANNOUNCEMENT ]

Hi everyone.

I made a little announcement a couple days ago on my Discord and even made vague implications of this since last year, BUT I am going to go away for quite sometime. IRL responsibilities, burnout, and some newfound passions made it difficult for me to continue being a YouTuber, so much so that I have to take some time off to go on an indefinite hiatus and think about where and how I want my life to be.

I'll be holding a week-full of streams next week and upload one more video after my last stream so we can have some time to do stuff. After that, I will pause all memberships and be inactive.

Many of my viewers might have actually expected this (they're smart creatures who figured it out since last year lmao). Whether that be through the slowdown of video uploads, not being caught up to industry happenings, inability to stick to schedules, etc.

Fret not, this is just a hiatus for a reason. I don't know when I'm going to come back but do expect some very big changes when I do.

Donothon rewards are still incoming as well.

I've just checked, and as far as I can tell everyone in VSPO!EN and Globie is monetised (I'm going by who has their Join membership button activated). As for the other agencies, here's who don't seem to be:

• idol-ES: Akugaki Koa, Ruby Runeheart
• idol-EN: Enya Ignis (ENCORE), Coni Confetti (Endless), Cersea Soulstorm, Yena Youngblood, Riki Poppet, Daisy Dandelion (all of WILDFYRE)
• V4Mirai: Yae Yugiri (Gen 2), Alias Anono (Gen 3), the V4Mirai official channel

Edit: Alias has been demonetised for more than 6 months, so she doesn't count for this situation.
So what is the connection here? There was a lot of suspicion in the forum (from myself included) that most of V4Mirai Gen 4's subs were botted, but none of the girls are affected. Instead, it's just the agency itself and a couple of vtubers from older gens. And if the origin is idol from Aviel fudging the numbers, why is their only gen to debut after the Brave acquisition the most affected? In any case, they seem to be the source of the issue.

Yeah I think this just straight up kills Idol, at least on Youtube. Google has exactly zero reasons to ever walk back a human judgement call on a decision like this, all of the twitter rage over bans and such has always been to get a human to review automated decisions. Brave has nothing to pressure YT with, either; bigger companies have tried and failed in the past.

The thing is, I think they did try. A couple accounts got monetization back, IIRC: whatever triggered Youtube's ire may have been limited to Idol at first?

Let's say Youtube noticed something and initially struck accounts related to Brave's entire EN structure because they weren't aware of the delineation between Brave's various properties.

After Brave got in touch with YT and they learned about the buyout, the non-offending accounts were remonetized but YT isn't budging on the accounts that actually pissed them off.

It's a but it makes a lot of sense to me. Aviel scamming one of the biggest v-tubing companies out of their investment money is way too on-brand.

EDIT: nvm @Kanna's Glowiest Assistant has actually done the legwork and already proved this rrat wrong. If it is Brave related it has to be botting, not donothon related, so there's that

YT fuckery is common but this is such a strange situation. I'm hoping it eventually leaks because I'd love to hear the reasoning.

This is possibly the impetus behind all the Brave content restrictions we heard about last week. But maybe not... just hard to say. Is it to do with Idol's adsense and financial practices? Mass reporting? YT coming down hard on certain content? Alleged botting? I just want to know man.
