She sang all the DBZ and DBGT openings. :nenebased: Luna-hime, as always.

Edit: I didn't have a chance to watch it in full until now and didn't notice she also sang DB's opening, too!

So I want to change the topic from vagueposting and other usual posting for a minute to make a serious question. Have you guys ever dropped an oshi or stopped watching them not because they graduated but because they changed their streams, content, or just because things that seemed fun or liked about them at first turned annoying after? or because you lost interest?
Edit: I guess I'd like to also add, did you stop them watching permanently or returned later? or watch them but less frequently? Also just to be clearer by oshi I mean like a Vtuber you really respected or watched a lot, like one of if not your favourite
A bit of a text wall, I suppose:

In the era when NijiJP clips were still abundant, I would still tune in to some streams for Mito, Ange and Roa, but I started drifting towards HoloJP, right before NijiEN got announced. I naturally stopped watching JP Vtubers, since I stopped doing my reps and didn't have enough time to get attached to any single one of them before the big EN boom after Myth. I checked out Myth, but while I liked them, I never got attached. Same with Council. (In retrospect, if it was Advent that came out instead of Council at the time, I might have been a solid Holofag).

I ended up watching NijiEN the most and generally liked most of the LazuSydia girls + Nina (though I'll admit I got scared away for a while when I found out her PL). I even liked Maria and Scarle (still kind of do). I watched Selen, Pomu and Rosemi most, but I gradually stopped keeping up in 2022, partly because Niji was starting to feel off, but also because I got into small corpos with Tsunderia and Phase. I still watch and enjoy Selen and Pomu as Doki and Mint now, but it doesn't quite feel the same as the early days, I can't really describe it.

In Tsun, I watched Miori and Lisa most, but I ended up watching both less over time, Miori because...yeah, and Lisa because generally I felt she was beginning to lose interest in streaming (probably not helped by the slow death of the company, but still).

For Phase, I got into the company because of Pippa and Tenma, but ended up watching Lia the most. Lia is still one of my favorites, but I ended up drifting from her when she took more and more breaks after her big incline in the middle of last year. Since then I've been religiously keeping up with Jelly.

While I still do my best to keep up with most of the Phase girls, I have been watching them less compared to this time last year, since there's just so many of them now. I also feel, to a certain extent, that my path as a Phase fan is partly finished. The community has grown by a lot from the time I started watching, to the point where I feel PC is solid and self-sustaining. So I have been branching out with more small corpos and indies in the past year, partly because I miss the feeling of a smaller community, but also to support emerging talents as they grind their way up.

Dropped Coco/kson after she joined Vshojo because I didn't like Vshojo. Roberu I slowly stopped watching because Tempus happened. Aruran changed his model from cool oji-san to some young fuckboy out of nowhere which killed the vibe for me. He had a series where kaigais were trying to teach him English slang and puns which brought me in, confusing the old man was funny:Mumei-REE:

I never got the hype for Lia, I thought she was obnoxious and a try-hard in a corpo that's already known for pushing towards the fringe audiences. That was until of course, that anime expo at NYC.
Once that bitch began performing, once I saw her energy, it came together for me in my head. "Ah this is who she is, this is what she's about". The autism, the annoying voice, those are all secondary; she's about performing cringe vocaloid songs live.

For some weird reason I'm subbed to most of HoloID. I used to keep the NijiID girls in the background while working but now that they're extinct I'll leave Moona or Kaela on while I do other stuff. I really don't care much for huge-ass collabs anymore, I think they're overrated and only rarely does interesting or funny stuff happen in them. Likewise for ASMR stuff.

The indies I'm subbed to mostly play games that I care about, which is a good reason to subscribe. I don't give a rat's ass about FOTM vtubers but I also understand that they have to keep up with the whims of youtube's dogshit algorithm; clout and trend-chasing is inevitable.. But I do appreciate finding the occasional 1-view or 2-view playing Age of Empires 2 or Mass Effect.

In short I believe I've stopped watching anyone who isn't a fascinating case study in human social hampering, one of the reasons I main Kaela and Uruka.

Allow me to shill yet another literal who for a moment. Check out Kira Lily if you're in the market for an EN/JP VSinger with some variety content. She's not new, she was previously featured in OffKai concerts, but I've been watching some of her content since she got featured on the recent karaoke relay. She's currently live:

Other than the great voice, she's got a pleasant demeanor, mostly zatsu, karaoke and a bit of chill gaming. Same energy as Spica, I would say. A sample of her recent streams:

Why does Bae hate holoEN?

Because packs her schedule, works too hard and doesn't leave room for anything else. :painpeko:

Tbh 7DTD is kinda boring so I am not really bummed about it.

Does my oshi being Mint instead of Pomu count?

More serious answer, I used to watch a fair bit of Millie, because despite being a retard and a flip, she played autism games and usually understood them and actually got good at them, an idiot-savant if you will.

Mentioned Kiara timezones already but I still consider myself a fan despite not being able to watch live. I had to think really hard about people I actually both really liked and actually dropped. There's a fair number of vtubers I casually follow and now casually follow less, but those aren't in the oshi category. But a few examples did come to mind.

Vesper Noir. Oh boy. Was really into him since debut. He had great zatsu, great collab experiences, and a fun attitude. Then his suspension. He seemed to return in good spirits, but then went into what I've seen called his "menhera arc". The zatsus became repetitive and the collabs dried up in favor of solo gaming. I think a lot of people could sense something was off with his social dynamic, whether it was simply anxiety on his part or whatever baseless rumor of the day was. I dropped him many months before his eventual "graduation".

The second oshi I can think of is a strange situation. I was a big fan of Urara. I didn't watch her live but I caught all her vods, I'd even put them on podcast style during long drives. I thought she had a great balance between comfy, funny, and informative. When she came back as Dizzy after I thought she had left vtubing forever, for me it was a genuine vtubing miracle. And yeah, Dizzy still does meta content sometimes, and she's still comfy sometimes, and her humor is more on point that it ever was. And her shorter themed streams are objectively better content... but I just can't get into her character. I'm sorry Dizzy, but it's too much for me. So yeah, I still watch her if I'm linked a vod or get raided in, but I no longer seek out her streams or watch her live.

That was a fun stream of Bae and Subaru just shooting the shit. Also very loud in a good way lol. The next stream should be fun, too. Something about the twins infecting other talents with "Bau bau" always makes me laugh.
