There were so many live streams and live cameras at EVO, I'm not suggesting anyone will find them on the main streams. I'm saying they are going to be on some video stream that's somewhere on the Internet and the autism of some discord channels is going to be obsessed with find them. I'm not saying that's a good thing, I'm just saying that'll happen.
Now, which one of them is capable of driving in the States? Though LA to LV isn't exactly the longest road trip, but that's still about 5x more competent than we'd expect from most Vtubers. (Though that drive is legitimately quite dull unless you've got a sports/super car, as a note.)
I don't know where Proctor gets the "the forums are a hivemind" allegations. There's a cast of diverse characters here sharing the fandom that would put a university application pamphlet to shame. I personally have gotten into scuffs because I hate anime, don't much care for idol music despite watching several idol types. Driving for a whole road trip in a country with the opposite traffic direction from your own is legitimately impressive. Just being a pedestrian in a left-hand traffic country was stressful for me, can't imagine what operating a huge RV at motorway speeds when all my driving instincts are inverted must be like.
Having had couple of random celebrity interactions in life, the "triple take" is the proper response. Though C-list celebrities are the worst ones to run into because you vaguely know who they are and you're trying to remember if you're mistaking this person for someone you worked with.
As for some accidental interaction with a Vtuber you follow, for something like the Japanese Hololive members, being not socially awkward (regardless of the fact I'm on this forum), I probably would take an opportunity to introduce myself and see if they need any help. If they're in the States, they're in a very foreign place that, while safe, there's still a lot of friction for being a non-English speaker. Everyone can use a useful contact point when they're gallivanting around the globe.
If you're used to driving, it's not that hard of a change and you can get over it pretty fast. However, Tokyoite Japanese able to drive is the surprising part in the first measure, though thinking about some of Korone's time off helping her mother I'd guess her?
