I think Ceci might have my favorite vtuber design since original Pikamee. Look at her be adorable while her key rotates:
It's such an easy yet effective way to put a smile on your face
Also Uruka's doing a violin karaoke:
She got my instant sub after that amazing Palette cover so I'm happy to see this. I haven't had the chance to go through her channel yet but if any Phasefriends have any karaoke streams or cover recommendations from her, then I'd appreciate it. Between Miran, Uruka and now Ceci, it's great to have so many violin vtubers.
Agreed. Cecilia's design is really good.
As far as Uruka recommendations, you definitely can't go wrong with any of her violin streams. She usually has a fun mix of songs she does, some recur throughout multiple streams. But some of my favorites I can think of are timestamped below:
The Devil Goes Down to Georgia. She says it's not really her style, as she's "not a fiddler", but it's still a fun listen when she plays it:
Anything from Vivaldi. I actually unironically enjoy listening to classical music, and Vivaldi is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, she's not really into playing classical, so it's not very often she does it, but I enjoy it when she does.
While she isn't perfect at the first portion of Winter from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, it's still fun to listen to:
And so as not to clog up the page with too many YT links, possibly my favorite I can remember is the first time I heard her play
Rewrite the Stars. I had never heard the song before this, but I was honestly blown away at how great it sounded when I first heard her play it. I still go back and listen to it from this stream from time to time. It sounds amazing:
I'm usually doing something else when I watch/listen to streams like this. While it all sounds good, it's not very often a song from a karaoke stream will cause me to stop what I'm doing to give my full attention to the stream, but this was one of those times I stopped what I was doing to fully focus on her playing this song.
I'm a big fan of the violin, so Uruka's violin streams are some of my favorite streams. As you said, Miran is another amazing one. I haven't watched Cecelia yet, but I've been meaning to since I heard she plays violin too. Will try to find time this week to check her out.
Also, if you need/want a break from violin, Uruka's "Comfy Campfire Guitar" streams are a lot of fun too. Things have been pretty busy, so she hasn't done one in a bit, but she used to do them pretty regularly, so hopefully she'll start doing them again when things start settling down. Just a fun, cozy set-up where she chats and plays guitar/sings with a campfire background.
