First of the Hololive talents to do it. Completely on her own with no coaching. Just months and months of grinding her ass off. Those tears were well-earned.
And right after her, Botan got to Master earlier today! As a vtuber fan and a fighting game autist, seeing 2 of my favorites reach this point at almost the same time gave such a massive feeling of joy.
I've watched both their Street Fighter streams since the beginning and it's like damn man, what a wild ride it's been. There was Botan, who started one year ago with no experience in fighting games. She struggled a ton to understand the concepts and needed a lot of help from coaches and friends. There were many times she almost quit from lack of confidence and haters saying she was wasting her time.
Then Subaru, who clicked with the game super fast, improved entirely on her own and just kept grinding. She had her own antis but ignored them and proved them wrong through her gameplay and studying. They got here in 2 completely different ways but they still made it. Botan said she's gonna treat Subaru to yakiniku as congrats so I really hope they enjoy it and feel proud of themselves.

I actually checked out their annual reports and CDawgVA as well as VShojo are comfortably some of the top donators/fundraisers for the IDF. It will be a while before the reports including the most recent cyclethon come out but looking at past years it will easily be more than one 10th of all revenue for the IDF.

If you're gonna post irl shit at least have the confidence to post your non-filtered, or at least not obviously filtered, face. All she did was immersion break, show she isn't confident with obvious filters, and take a hit to her already low confidence by losing followers for the post.
True, it's basically just a drop in the bucket, but she cropped it in a way to make it appear more significant.

Mind you I think that might only be 100-200 followers. She's using this post to garner sympathy for more followers than she lost and gain Twitter impressions to promote her brand. She has done this multiple times in the past.
E: That post in question has 1.2m views and 22k likes; her other posts sit at 20-30k views and 300-400 likes. She's farming the algorithm.
