Looking at her channel I don't see any normal streams in two weeks. She's also been posting on Rye lately too. This looks like more of a her problem then a "no more GFE" problem. E No explanation on twitter either, looks like she just fucked off for 2 weeks.

Lets say you do it "correctly" and own the haters.
Now you need to build up a new audience from square 1 with no idea of the staying power of that new audience.
If they leave to "new thing", you are fucked.
If your 180 doesn't work you plummet in views and either live in 2view territory or come groveling back to your old content.

That is only for February. She streamed 5 times that month. While that's not very good, it's to be expected.

I know its easy to hate on Coomers but what fanbase wouldn't do this? Rooster Teeth no longer exists for pretty much exactly this reason. Isolating and outright shit talking your core audience is a great way to lose them, no matter if they wanna coom or not.

Just an outsider perspective, when she announced no more GFE her fans turned antis showed clips of her saying things along the lines of "I love you and we'll be forever together", that lovey dovey stuff which is different from coomer content i.e. the Tenga ASMR or 3D tit shaking V4Mirai is doing
There was another clip posted alongside those of her as Rye deriding GFE likers, so it seems she was just treating Idol as a paycheck lying through her teeth but she couldn't keep pretenses for too long

The difference is speed. A content change isn't a death sentence if they have a healthy community and what they are pivoting to isn't too different from what they were doing before, as shown by a lot of the old lets players going into react and other forms of verity content. It took years for Rooster Teeth to enter the point of no return, but it took the one stream explaining how she was not producing that type of content anymore for them to leave.

The same applies to the GFE audience, with the twist being that they will remain fanatically loyal until the illusion breaks, at which point they will turn on you like a lover scorned (hence the Yuko antis). Coomers are transactional, but GFE attracts a truly schizophrenic audience (though there is significant overlap). If you really want to lean into that content, you have to be ready for it.

As a corollary, I do think that if you go for GFE, you shouldn't do it if you already have a real life relationship. I can clown on unicorns the whole day, but even putting the ethical issues aside, it's absolutely reckless. If this forum and its New Zealand agriculture origins demonstrate anything, it's that you WILL screw up your opsec someday and some autist might figure out your identity. God help you if you're a GFE-tuber with a boyfriend/husband/situationship when that day comes.
