Well, Kiara just said in her members-only stream that she was annoyed back then because Cover had just told everyone about the new rule for Live concerts, in that talents would only get one Live per year and then a group Live for their anniversary. She wasn't allowed to say it back then because Cover had not publicly announced it, yet. (Then those same JP oshifags complained about the changes when Cover announced them, ofc)
On top of that, this was only a couple months after Myth had been told they would not be able to do a group Live without paying for travel and accommodations themselves. She was also finally told that she wouldn't be able to do a Solo Live despite being constantly told how easy they were to get throughout the whole period where she was incapable of doing one thanks to COVID restrictions. Oh, and her Birthday 3D Live isn't even going to be on her birthday because the JP staff wanted to slot her for November again (????) and she said no, but would not relent to earlier than September, near the group live. So she will end up going earlier than the rest of Myth to record and stay quite a while into when the rest come to record.
Just a reminder: a lot of Kiara's complaints she talks about on stream about management and people sperg over her doing so usually are valid. A lot of the time, they even end up getting changed as a direct result of Kiara and probably Calli pushing for changes. Example being the group anniversary Live. Myth is getting one this year, and their travel is being paid for by Cover. In addition to that, Cover recently announced ID and EN would get extra Live allowances for a while to make up for the times they could not have any. So think about that the next time you want to shit on Kiara for complaining too much and your EN or ID oshi are getting extra 3D lives,s!

Is it that out there that someone trying to start a content creation career (and spending a large sum of money on it) paid someone to help with ads/SEO/basic project management for their debut?
Looking at model, stream assets, animations i reckon all this could range from anywhere from 10K - 20K USD. Which is a lot of money but ultimately not an insurmountable amount for someone living in a first world country, even less so if they are working/have worked in toronto's tech industry.
And reiterating the point again, Vgen is a site that initially marketed itself as a place to commission streaming/vtubing assets. While someone getting their entire setup from there is not the norm, it isn't really enough to be noteworthy.

You are aware that anyone offering services on Vgen isn't forced to offer them solely on Vgen right? They can just contact each other outside of the site and work out a commision/contract privately. The person running the service can also close off new requests at any point when they feel they enough commisions/work to fill their plate.

Never say she was a person of interest, is that it was incredibly odd finding a no name vtuber throwing money left and right, suddenly got followed by Phase connects talents, and getting boosted by twitter (so she has blue but is hidden) the only thing you made me remember is that yes it was a mistake of mine not checking Tessa on Vgen what i find odd is that she managed to hire her for a entire year and that doesnt come cheap
