While she didn't directly collect money or anything, I'd bet money that at least some of the people brought in by her charity tweet donated some money to her in her following streams. So she could've gotten a bit of a bump from it.
That is likely. Though conversely, her tweet likes were astroturfed heavily (to the point of a /vt/ ad banner advertising it) to bump it up to Froot bankruptcy if she had actually followed through.
She could always have said "Yeah, I cannot afford donating 50 k, here are 5 k instead", mind you.
Then again, it's not like I particularly object to not donating to that particular charity.
Youtube and Twitter try to give you more of what you engage with. Proctor, over on Twitter, mixes his time between grooming two-views and politisperging. Proctor can say he doesn't want to see politisperg stuff, but the algorithm is brutally honest. Sometimes people love to hate things, and it seems that Proctor is one of those people. If Proctor really wasn't interested, he'd block that shit or just not engage with it.
