Towa's thoughts after the tournament:
Win or lose, I knew she was gonna cry but it was still painful to see after she lost. She just sat there in silence for a while, completely frustrated at herself. But she played well, showed off what she learned and was able to get a win so she was happy in the end. And most importantly, she wants to keep playing and get better. I'm glad to see another Holo get pulled into fighting games.
And Botan's quick thoughts. But she'll be doing a stream to talk about everything tomorrow:
The tournament as a whole was great. Botan's always been good at delegating and it clearly showed here. Production was so well-done, you'd think it was an official offline Capcom tournament. Everything was on time with almost no delays or issues (other than a small miscommunication with Towa and dtto). The transition between matches was seamless and the event didn't feel too long or too short. Commentary was also always energetic. Botan knew she isn't as knowledgeable as her partners so she let them do most of the talking while she reacted with cute noises and kept up the hype. Even the sponsor ads were cute with Botan doing the narrating (and eating). The numbers were high with a consistent 70-75k CCV and a peak of almost 80k on her stream alone. If you include the people that restreamed it, it easily broke 100k. Hag Lion accomplished her goals of introducing a lot of people to SF6 and showing off some great matches at mid and high-level.
She talked about wanting to do another one if this was successful so I'm sure we'll see Tournament Organizer Botan again. I will never stop saying I'm proud of her man
