While it is mostly known for their conventions in Singapore, Anime Festival Asia did appear in Indonesia for a long while, dating at least back in 2012. Their last appearances were in 2018 in ID, before taking a long hiatus from the country due to variety of reasons, including COVID which forced the event to be online-only venture (and AFAIK featured now graduated Niji EX-ID talent ZEA Cornelia at one point along with Holo talents back then)
2024 marks the return of AFAID, which is like, a big news for most ID weebs since it's been so long. However the fact that it happened at least a week before ID's biggest fan-market convention, Comic Frontier (11-12 May) means that people are conflicted on which event they gonna attend.
Not sure if AFAID will have Vtuber guests like holo or (god forbid) niji, but right now they still upgrading the list for anime concert and also selling their most expensive tickets. Will have to wait till april for more info.
