Even though I find this funny, there is possibility of somone causing problems so it's better to be safe
I'll add to this that while the latinx term being pushed by these people has been rejected by most natives, there is a growing number of people in latin america from academia and social media who are pushing for gender neutral terms such as "amigue". Thanks to the wokefication of latin american countries some fag adjacent people are embracing these gender neutral forms and it's a matter of time until it reaches government and education. At least in my shithole the government hasn't embraced that stupidity to the fullest but they have already embraced the non binary retardation to the point we had a non binary fag senator, funny thing is that the retard got killed by his prostitute or boyfriend and people were raising a stink about people calling him a heThe fact that part of this was pushed by upper class Latinos (who have probably never stepped foot in any other Latin American country that didn't include a Sandal's Resort) only made the rejection more visceral.

"today's events and misunderstandings"? did something else happen today, or what
being vague isn't exactly going to help with people taking their pound of flesh, but a third clarification tweet would only make things worse, so it's probably for the best that their social media person logs off for the day
Offkai has responded to False.
Very ironic. It appears that the numbers people are now botting Calli's livestream promoting her anti-numbers song.

More like the EN market left themAre they gonna leave the EN market?
My country has no left-wing party lol, most of the wokes here are just upper class fags who use twitter, live in their skyscrapers and see themselves as white.I'll add to this that while the latinx term being pushed by these people has been rejected by most natives, there is a growing number of people in latin america from academia and social media who are pushing for gender neutral terms such as "amigue". As an addendum, they are trying the same shit here in Spain by using -x, -e, -es. Which makes 0 sense grammatically and sounds like ass.@The Proctor, I don't know if you're still interested in the 'Latinx' question, but I wanted to add my two cents into the conversation. Feel free to give me time clocks.
The basis behind this is routed in the western academia idea of control through language. The basic gist is that, if you can control how people speak, you can control how they think. There's been a movement to try and get rid of all forms of 'gendered' language in English, ranging from introducing gender neutral emoticons/emojis to politicians going out of their way to avoid using phrases like 'ladies and gentlemen.' The problem is that this form of language control only really works on languages where gendered nouns aren't built into the actual vocabulary like English. Spanish, one of the most commonly spoken languages on the planet that isn't some dialect of Chinese or Indian, has masculine and feminine ways of writing and pronouncing words, specifically nouns. With gendered language built so deeply into the roots of Spanish, some 'language specialists' (mostly upper middle class liberal arts professors) came up with the idea of introducing a third, gender neutral way of writing and speaking Spanish. Thus, Latinx was created to try to 'capture' the Spanish language much like the English language has been captured.
The problem? Most Latin American countries, which these academic types thought would embrace and adopt this bastardized form of Spanish, told them to fuck a cactus. It turns out that trying to convince a part of the world which is traditionally Catholic (with all that entails), that their way of speaking is out of date and that you need to change the entire structure of your language (which is considered to a cultural foundation in many parts of the world) isn't a good idea. The fact that part of this was pushed by upper class Latinos (who have probably never stepped foot in any other Latin American country that didn't include a Sandal's Resort) only made the rejection more visceral.
TLDR: Academics tried to explain to a demographic why their language is sexist/racist/homophobic/etc. and were promptly told by Latin American moms to shut up before they whip out the chancla.
I thought RAE folded to them? But I guess they have always been ultra-hardassed over language propriety or some bs... remember that time they tried to push for spanish terms to all tech words borrowed from english? Kek, fat chance. As an addendum, they are trying the same shit here in Spain by using -x, -e, -es. Which makes 0 sense grammatically and sounds like ass.
They even tried to force the RAE(Royal Spanish Academy of the spanish language) to add them as neutral gendered particles and got told: Spanish already has a neutral gendered particle, the masculine one (basically "go eat a bag of dicks ").
Then tried to argue that the RAE is outdated and should modernize because everyone uses that BS, when basically the only people that uses it are 1% of the population that think that using an English word instead of the Spanish one is better because "it sounds cooler".
Thankfully their efforts have not been very fruitful, but in Spanish politics you never know, because there are a lot of politicians in this country that do nothing, searching for a reason to justify their salary.
