Dream's fans have little overlap with Vtubers. tbh Dream made the model because 1) its his recognizable mascot 2) fans wanted to see his reactions while he plays minecraft (but he does NOT like facecam). so this vtubing thing was a compromise more than wanting to be in the vtuber community.

Did he mention vtubers in the video? If so then I can assure you a few of his toxic ass community already infected this hobby.

With the underage fan thing, it was actually more to do with his staff than Dream, people jumped on him not realising (because retardation).
The one thing he actually was caught in was manipulating the drop rates on his world record Minecraft run, to the point he hired a mathematician to confirm it was possible, before getting BTFO by the Minecraft speed running mods with insane number crunched figures.
TL;DR what he did in the run was mathematically impossible with base game figures, proving he manipulated the game code.

_may or may not have been "right-adjacent"
_ main Dream drama about sexting some "underage girl"- this never went anywhere, the "victim" promised to report him to the authorities but never did, she got drama alert to pick up the story only to immediately turn around claim she didn't, and she refused to show her "very real proof" when the first "screenshot of texts" was quickly disproven as faked. so...
_their was one incident where his friend (Georgenotfound) was accused of tickling some women's waist to lose a game on a phone, and that made it SA somehow? it was all debunked by her outright lying about "the facts,"

i've been looking at 2 websites: Twitter fans thinks he should have a better model but are happy hes playing minecraft, Tumblr fans thinks the blob model is cute and are happy hes playing minecraft...though my pool of dream fan community interaction is tiny so idk

Glow squid, which is an essentially useless mob that doesn't even glow because mojang is the definition of incompetency, though many other streamers and such also tried rigging the votes.

Forgive me for numberfagging but... as of writing this post the birb's balls tweet from a few pages ago (see here) is at ~260k likes and 15 million views. It must have breached VTuber containment because it absolutely mogs Shylily's response to Sinder (currently sitting at ~115k likes and 7 million views). I don't watch follower numbers that closely but she seems to have gained at least a thousand followers from this... Hopefully she'll be able to translate some of into views. Even 5% of her new followers turning into viewers would be huge for her.

One issue I think they're running into in that I believe gifting of Subs on YT happened in 2022, so it makes the Loyal Viewer/Subbed/Will Superchat picture more murky.
