Everything I've ordered from VShojo has missed the predicted release by months. It took ~10 months to get a fucking standee. Meanwhile the stuff I ordered when she set up her own store actually did arrive in weeks.

If it turns out that they're struggling financially to the point of making actual redundancies because they've bled through the $11million and letting the talents do whatever the fuck they want isn't covering their costs I will laugh so hard.

It seems like Michi is the new one that's thriving under Vshojo. I barely see much about the rest of them. The YT algo seems to be unhappy with them as well.

Like with the previous 3 that left, contracts broke down in the renegotiation period. In Matara's case, probably because they were demanding she bring her merch back under their system. I can absolutely see the positions of both parties and this was probably the right solution.

Considering most of them already have outside management agents, there's an interesting question about what the organization does for anyone at this point.

Venture round closed in March 2022, so backers are going to want a plan for an exit strategy this year and an exit in 26 or 27.

What I don't get about the Merch thing is that from what Michi said, they are extremely accommodating about how you want to do business, as long as you do it through them.
Michi did and will do future merch drops with larger pre-production amounts and shipping directly from a location in Indonesia for faster shipping to her home fanbase.
And from buying the Kuro birthday merch, one of the first drops that was done in-house, the shipping times were no issue, certainly much better than what I read here for other corpos.
