Most, if not everyone here is at least passingly familiar with Pipkin Pippa. She's the most-subscribed talent at Phase Connect, is quite well-regarded in the vtubing sphere, and you’ve no doubt seen memes of Pippa.

I’m going to shill her anyway.

Leave behind any preconceptions you might have about Pippa. Memes and clips are fun, but they are often very misleading. A casual viewer might have a vastly different impression of Pippa than what she’s actually like. While this is all part of the fun for her fans, non-viewers might draw very different conclusions about Pippa, her thoughts and opinions than what she actually thinks or expresses.

The first thing to understand about Pippa is that she will bare her soul to you when she streams. Successes, failures, hopes and dreams, cringe-inducing stories, depressing moments, insecurities, and controversial and unpopular opinions, are all on the table for Pippa to discuss. Pippa has only the most basic filter for her personal details and basic vtuber etiquette, and even the last one is up-for-grabs. While vtubing has many talents that are open about their thoughts and feelings, it’s very hard to find someone else as open about themselves as Pippa is and unconcerned about projecting the right image.

It took me a bit to find this again, but I think you could make the impactful throughline of your post be along the lines of below, given the substantial personal growth arcs we as the audience have watched unfold over years.

To elaborate on this in a way that Pippa would despise, Pippa is a mega idol, in that her growth is appealing in parallel with how idols (at least, the superior glorious Nipponese idols) grow. Sure, it's endearing when a newcomer shows up and they don't know what they're doing and make all kinds of amateur mistakes, but that's because you want to cheer them on to get better. You don't want them still tripping over their feet and hitting bum notes five years into their career; you want to be able to appreciate how much they've improved. Pippa is the streamer equivalent of an idol who's finally hitting the mainstream, and despite my scheduling-related criticism, I'm happy for her.

She's one of the few non JP corp vtubers who the term Oshi actually fits perfectly.

I will say - since this current iteration of the thread is going to be rolled over into a new one in about 40 pages, I've been thinking on-and-off about rewriting the current lazy OP to actually be a proper effortpost shill OP given the new chuuba thread template guidelines and such. If your shillpost is properly thorough & high-quality then I was thinking I could potentially incorporate some of it into this hypothetical new OP, assuming I actually end up getting off my ass to do so.

I'm glad you're including this early on, since Pippa comes off as a very genuine person, and I've always appreciated that about her. Over the course of her career she's had plenty of opportunities to pander, grift, or otherwise Flanderise herself, that I'd wage the vast majority of Internet personalities in her situation would jump on. Instead, she's continued letting both her content and her personality grow organically, which is incredibly commendable.

Don't forget that she's the Internet's Little Sister. She's a bit dumb, like a little sister, but also has surprising level of awareness and thought. She contains the soul of the Old Internet, but in the form of a younger person. She likes to laugh at the same dumb shit as the rest of the Old Guard, but she's also obsessed with plushies and toy horses, and will go into endearingly autistic detail about them. She is the Internet's Little Sister.

She was extremely vague about what the mystery offer was, but it was very clearly career-related and she also claimed it would've been something that would've initiated a 'lolcow arc'; based upon that statement the thread therefore deduced that it was probably either some kind of hardcore gamba shilling on Kick (relatively unlikely), or some form of actual True & Honest porn content, because these are the closest fits to what she was describing. She admitted she did think about and contemplate whatever it was, because the money is tempting, but stayed true to herself and did not sell out. This is very commendable in of itself, even if our guesses of whatever the offer was are actually wrong.

There's that, but I also mean the more moment-to-moment arcs. There's plenty of times where something she did caught attention and she could have taken the 'easy' option and let that define her, but didn't. Think how many people, upon being noticed and supported by someone as beloved as Metokur, would've sucked up hard, kept namedropping him, and became a shameless orbiter? How many people with her reputation would milk conspiracy theory streams for all they're worth despite running out of material they're genuinely interested in talking about? Or forced a bunch of safe-edgy "fedposting" after the Walmart thing to astroturf viral clips? Or made regular 'own the libs' content to appease the Hogwarts tourists, instead of shooing them away?

Pippa is Pippa. She's not a gimmick and she's not a mouthpiece for a cause, and I really like that about her.
