For the record I did email them asking about their company registration and whether they're going to work under the typical agency model but I haven't got a reply. Given everything I think it's safe to assume they're just a "group" for now and not a full agency. I generally don't care how groups operate since there's no money or contracts involved. On the other hand, they do cite "labour regulations" rather than common sense for the answer to the question about minors so I could be wrong.

With a 15% revenue share for the company which includes promotion, their only profit will be with merch. Man i really hope the gay porn lover knows how to print money because i really dont see how they will become successful without money

It's a 15% minimum, but up to 50% under certain unclear circumstances. It's really unclear in my opinion.

So if I buy my own debut assets and don't do any "talent projects" (whatever that means), will I get 85%?

Yeah... so they're going to take more deoending on how professional you want your debut stream to be...
I would assume the " talent projects " would go to covering a song all they way to buying certain video games since starter agencies usually dont have that much money to buy their talents games and stuff. These small agencies should really stop being vague and just straight up do a 50/50 or even 60/40 and pay everything the talents need. I feel like that a cowards technique of saying " hey if you dont make enough money we will guve you less

pay everything the talents need.
The thing is that most of these small agencies don't have the money to do this lol

Yeah i know. Thats why im saying take more. And offer them what they need in a reasonable manner of course. I understand people believe they can start from scratch but in a saturared industry like vtubers its hard to make money if you dont have some to start with.

I agree completely. There's also an issue where Talent A might feel slighted because they found out that Talent B has a better split despite seemingly getting the same benefits and that sort of thing.

A single split with a clear list of what the company will and will not cover might mean less money going to the talent in some cases but it would also mean a much smaller chance of confusion.

tl;dr on the revenue share: "i dunno lol"

If this guy thinks he's going to be able to afford to fund all the shit he's promising on 15% of a few 2views' income he's absolutely deluded (since as we've established from the sloppy presentation up to this point, he likely has little-to-no startup capital of his own to buy them time to grow), and the vague base split vs. variable split situation is him leaving the door open to make shit up as he goes along. The fact he's even published this is him wanting to have his cake and eat it.

I can't say for sure this is a malicious black company since these problems seem more like an amateurish lack of foresight, but one belief I stand behind strongly is that, when you're taking on long-term contractors, negligence is just as much of a character flaw as malice - especially when they're working in the public eye like this. He's had a short-sighted "wouldn't it be cool if-" idea which he absolutely does not have the means to support, and he's gambling other people's reputations and careers on it.

At this point I'd consider any sort of ridiculous revenue split (somehow always associated with small print) a red flag. Businesses exist to make money, they're not charities, and any that pretend to be the latter are to be avoided.

The moment you make a big fanfare about how great your deal is, everyone knows you're bullshitting.

Okay, Idol Corp, but they did it two generations in and with the clear intent to fuck their competition, plus it has Rin, and I strongly suspect Gin went over the offered contract with Rin and would've told Aviel to fuck off and die in Gaza if it was bullshit.

An upstart with zero gens? Fuck off.

It can be a warning of one of two things: either they're just straight-up a malicious black company who're twisting the figures, or they're run by pozzed socialists who absolutely refuse to be the "bad guy" by reining in unprofitable ventures. The latter's not just a vtuber corpo thing either, look at how Egoraptor employed like fifty random LA "friends" to come into his office to work on their passion projects, while having to open a Patreon and clickbait/algo-pander to keep the business running despite the channel having over five million subs.

Some people just aren't fit to run businesses.
