What did 2042 in was the net code and servers. It was basically unplayable for a huge chunk of people, before any other issues. We'll see if they've solved that issue.

Lol, no. I wouldn't pay $80 for a game from my favorite series. Nothing Gearbox make is worth a fraction of that. Especially after they released a dogshit DLC to Risk of Rain 2 that required them to create a roadmap to fix the damn thing. Took almost 9 months to fix a DLC, and he's expecting "real fans" to spend $80 on a game?
Good luck on this one Randy. Especially with that sort of answer. Consumers love when companies tell them they aren't real fans if they're too poor to afford the mark-up of your product.
Do not get me fucking started on RoR2. Fuck Gearbox and honestly fuck Hopoo for selling out. The gall they had to claim "yeah we're done making RoR" and selling it to Gearbox, only for a month later to announce "we're making RoR1 remaster with Gearbox teehee." It killed ALL motivation for my friends and I to play RoR2 even before Gearbox started fucking it with their patches and DLC.
The final level, the final void implementation, and Mithrix's boss fight really were a sign of things to come with that game.
Gigantic fucking map where you really do jack fuck all except walking forward, and it takes god damn forever if you didn't get mobility items on a slower character.
The void giving you seven (I think) items and a guaranteed red while not running the clock up, means every single run you ever play, you're looking for that guaranteed shop/void spawn in the (again, I think, haven't played in a long while) second stage, and spending 5-10 minutes doing it every time.
Mithrix being basically a "Oh, you got [insert item here] guess it's time to die instantly, femboy" kind of boss after he steals your shit, and how not being a speed troon and playing every stage for exactly 4 minutes and 57 seconds means he juices out of this world and gets more and more of your good items to kill you with.
And then Survivors of the Void was OK, I guess, and then the Grand Poobah of Grease folded the game in half.
I'm currently two hours into SoC and no major issues so far.

I think I'm far enough in now to call Pokémon Awakening so much wasted potential.
Putting translation issues aside.
The developer has no idea how to balance anything since every single pokemon ive encountered is a hyper offense sweeper.
that the class system is a buggy mess (some of them are broken as in don't work) most of them have a gimmick that's only half explained and some of them are complete wastes of your time ontop of the passive system that forces you to switch often when exploring the overworld (example there's hidden overworld items chests blue chests and black chests each of those requires you to switch classes to pick up yes 4 classes exist to open different chests)
And that the "class Gems" are also a weird thing narratively and having to wait 5 turns between uses is short sighted when every Pokémon is built for one turn ko's,
4 chapters in and still no "hub area" like Celedon or Goldenrod where you can just do all your shopping in one spot.
I also learned that your special Eevee had one of it's special evolution buffed simply because no one picked it (what a dumb reason)
The one thing I do like is TM's find the monolith activate it get a "page" for your book which allows infinite teaching of that move the thing is you don't get outright power moves till decently far into the game instead you get moves like utturn or torment or the weather moves.

What's a good Pokemon fangame without fakemons and fake evolutions?
Better yet if they make a whole new plot around those said fakemons that is somehow connected that they would somehow connect to the base game giving you a whole ass experience
Pokemon Radical Red if you want the standard Pokémon experience. (Mostly G1 till post game) (Warning. this has Regional Variants for the Sevii Islands not sure if you consider those Fakemon)
Pokemon Emerald Rogue. If you want something a bit more unique. (all Gens)
Pokemon Pathways if you want something that tries to be story focused. (Note:there are a few "altered" pokemon but they are not fakemon and you have to go out of your way to get them Example a Joltik with a altered moveset) (all Gens but Curated list of pokemon)
Pokemon Unbound if you want a modernized Pokémon game that keeps it's difficulty. (All Gens All Pokemon but a very very balanced selection through the whole game)
GOOD NEWS. Pokemon Voyager has you covered there.
A region filled with mostly undocumented pokemon but more specifically a SUPER undocumented area even to the locals one of the Focuses of the game is to actually try to fill out a pokedex from scratch as opposed to capture one Pokémon and immediately know everything.
the plot revolving around how these pokemon are essentially aliens to people knowing jack and shit about them or why they are so weird and in most cases hostile.
Bad News: Dev seems to have stalled not sure why the Dev ghoulslash is still active.

When you say Regional Variants, does that mean they made their own Regional Variants or is it the real ones from the games placed onto Sevii Islands?
