I'm not sure if they started it or not, but unlike most of them they were actually entertaining to watch, and the "expert" had more to say than "That's crazy, go [buy my book/join the marines/read up on what a cool guy I am]"
Oh, I know, I have watched them. I was just curious

Gamespot, after 15 years of putting out pure trash, finally hits gold with the Jonathan Ferguson videos about guns in different games.
Then they unceremoniously fire the guy who got that set up and actually works with Jonathan Ferguson to make those videos.

There goes the only reason I was subbed to Gamespot :/

Do you think that the "ethereal picture taking room" was a must-have requirement for the Kojima Productions offices?

Keanu sadly couldn't make it. I wonder what this is about though...

I feel like having him on the screen like that takes away some of the magic of the picture though. It's got this kind of energy:

Yes. He needs it for his personal photo album.

Kojima just wanted a reason to write off buying the second Nolan batcave.

from what i googled the first one is related to ball capture mechanics and the second is "ridable monsters" dunno what the third one is (i looked a little harder but found nothing) notably this all seems to be pointing to the Legends Arceus game specifically and not pokemon as a whole

siry pocketo pairu. You shouldn't releasuru gameru that infringes future patents. Pay 100 billion yen and commit sepukku :Vesper-UNHINGED:
The japanese courts are a circus so I don't expect these dudes to win. The public will just go "well the court said they were wrong so they're wrong" and will continue to worship nintendo.

The fee is 5 million yen to Nintendo and then another 5 million yen to The Pokemon Company....which is like 30k each. Probably just doing it to force them to pay legal fees which cost more and/or establish a precedence against them for more cases later.

nah they are suing to set a precedent. "the court says X they sided with us don't step on Pokémon" the fee is chump change what they care about is blocking anyone else from trying to ape Pokémon too much.

I suspect pocket pair were just the perfect excuse seeing how they have a history of very much aping other Nintendo products. It would also explain why they are suing over mechanic similarities rather then everything else.

if they sue over something general like "being Pokémon like" there is still a ton of wiggle room but if you sue for "ball catching mechanics" that is much more specific and harder to argue out of.

They don't care about the money, they want the injunction. They want to take Palworld off sale or have some other restrictions put in place, maybe make them take those systems out (they're left with essentially no game in that case).

Nah, just a bunch of gaming journalism outlets have just fired a bunch of people. That Alyssa Mercante psycho is trying to claim she quit her sweet job as a Senior Editor at Kotaku while we know multiple people all got fired unceremoniously at Kotaku on the same day. Apparently a lot of leftwing influencers are losing a shit ton of subs after the election, so these gaming journalism outlets are experiencing the same as they're so blatantly woke.

Ah, so it's the opposite, despite being the reason their channel got a big resurgence, he didn't have any friends in management to avoid getting fired.

He also confirmed in the comments of the latest Expert Reacts To video that the series is over. Hopefully he just does it independently with Jonathan later.

They're all in a death spiral at the moment. The whole "you're going to get replaced by random dudes on youtube" has already taken full effect. Earlier this year, Kotaku's staff were required to write 50 guides a week on the website because the people at the top realized no one wants to listen to turbofag opinion puff pieces and instead only come to Kotaku for gaming info. 50 guides a week (7 per day) isn't an insane request for work to be done across their entire staff but of course Kotaku's staff had a meltdown since they don't play any games at all.

Dave's "Expert Reacts" videos were pretty interesting though. It would be cool if he just did it as a dedicated bit independently so we'd see a lot more of it.

OK, I have lots of RAM, I have lots of GPU, I have lots of CPU, I have a good SSD, I have fiber Internet, but I can't get into a lobby with sub 45ms, consistent 120fps, no packet bursting, no random frame dips or desync. Black Ops 6 is dogshit. Console retards have their controllers aim for them, just pull the trigger, and boom, dead. It's that simple; their aimbot does all the work for them. No aim control, no tracking, just pull the trigger and get the kill if they're on the screen. The console retards think they're doing something, but they're just moving their aimbot around. I have to hand it to Activision in convincing these Yamanbas that they have any gamesense or aim, it's a masterwork. These people are brain dead, but they're fragging out.
I don't even want to play against them, but there's no way to turn crossplay off. SBMM is so strong that I watch it go above 75 ping to shove me into a full controller lobby so that it can make the matches "fair." My KD isn't even that good right now as I've been trying to grind camos, I think it's like 1.5, but I read that the average is somehow .7 or .8. I watched some gameplay from retard casuals on reddit and their lobby is NOTHING like mine. If you haven't killed the person on your screen within .3 seconds you're already dead, theirs, I watch them BOTH reload after magdumping before someone dies. Insane. I don't want to play comp, COD is not a comp game, it's an arcade shooter, but no, I cannot enjoy the game because I can aim okay and even without sound (I only play while having a stream open) I'm in the upper bracket.
The perk bonus situation is insane. The 20hz servers are insane. The shotgun, aek, and other weapon balance is nuts. The spawns are the worst they've ever been because every map should be as bad as Shipment. The crashing issues, the terrible optimization... What fucking DEI femboy hires do they have over there?

>playing a modern online FPS game

God I miss the 90s. Youngins will never understand just how good the Golden Age of FPS gaming was, and as much as it crushes me to know those days aren't coming back, it hurts a lot knowing so many nerds were robbed of even having that frame of reference.
