Happy Warhammer Week! Try not to think about how GW is rotting from the inside via DEI poisoning, and instead look forward to-
Mechanicus II, announced today, XCOM-like for those who crave the strength and certainty of steel, much like the first:
Talisman Digital 5th Edition, announced today as well, the third digital adaptation of this board game, so if it's shit you can always fall back to one of the others:
Boltgun DLC, wouldn't you know it was also announced today, I'm surprised it wasn't announced sooner but I'll take more of it either way:
Demolition Pack for Gladius, adding new units across the board - so, uh, easy skip since it's $10 for a unit pack. However, because the vast majority of the game is in its DLC, best to hold off on purchasing any of it unless you're willing to go all the way:
Surprisingly, Battlesector has a free update today and no paid DLC! Well, the publisher took over from the developers, so we have yet to see how that will turn out, fingers crossed they don't fuck it up. Next faction is the Astra Militarum, currently in development, and they've also promised more campaign DLCs like the base game as well as a long-term reworking of various systems that were otherwise underwhelming. Until then, this is probably the closest you'll get to tabletop Warhammer without going into debt building armies, so it's always my go-to recommendation whenever someone wants to get into the game:
Speed Freeks is in open beta, just request access and you're good to race fast and kill even faster. Twisted Metal is dead, but Orkz brought it back to life with a box of scraps:
Blood Bowl III has some *exclusive* dice to add to your collection if you play it now before May 30th! I don't actually want anyone to purchase Blood Bowl III, my talking about this is primarily because I wouldn't be doing this correctly if I didn't mention it, I trust your reading comprehension otherwise! Don't buy it! Buy Blood Bowl II instead!
Both Darktide and Vermintide also have their own events running this week, so be sure to buddy up if you don't want to run pugs. Nothing says "friendship" like mowing down your bloodsworn enemies by the thousand, together:
