I looked up to the ending of that game and it's fucking weird. Jay either flees to Canada to live a miserable life or is arrested and faces execution. In Canada he is tracked down by Zoe and either forgives himself, gets the cops called on him, or kills himself. In prison he is either executed or the governor at the very last second grants him clemency. Bro suffers no matter what, either dead, in prison, or stuck in Canada.
Oh, there's the typical ending that's supposed to be poignant. Nobody is allowed to be happy or have some redeeming whatever happen, because the writers aren't happy.

My benefit of the doubt I extended to Camelot ended the moment Pippa was obviously distressed about what Camelot had done and Camelot didn't give a shit. Before that, I said he was ignorant, but after, there was no possible explanation except Camelot being an asshole. If someone you call a friend is obviously distressed about something you're doing, you stop doing that if you care about that friend and how they feel.
Any benefit of the doubt should have ended when he decided to sneak in "Phase is gay" to his "apology."
