Winter Soldier is the only one deserving of "kino"

I love all the Captain America movies. Including the first one that most dislike, and Civil War is the best Avengers movie. They made me like a character I didn't give two shits about previously.

Also no post about Winter Soldier being kino is complete without this

I didn't care much for the second one but the first was a really fun heist movie.

I'm a big Walton Goggins fan, Fallout was the first time I didn't enjoy something he was in.

The movies (first 2 at least) feel more like old Deadpool. I haven't seen the latest one, burned out on Superhero stuff.

I WANNA SHIT TALK THE DEADPOOL MOVIE WHILE LOOKING AT BLACK WIDOW'S FAT ASS DOOBY PLAYS MARVEL IN THE BACKGROUND, IS THAT OK????

I really like Deadpool 2. 1 is... It's alright, a good revenge story and not a lot more, but Deadpool 2 is a surprise at how much deeper it is for a low key cape movie. I forget when it came out, but it felt like it really goes against the type of what capes are and became and felt more like a personal story. Spoilers, but I somehow doubt anyone who hasn't watched it in here will.

Spoiler: Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 follows Wade learning about what it truly means to be a hero and follows the theme of how it's not necessary to be a perfect bastion of justice and goodwill every day and how it's important to just take the time to recognize when and how a person can make the choice to do good.

This puts him in conflict with a much more aggressive "hero" Cable, who is trying to save the future by going back in time killing a child that will grow up to be the strongest terrorist of all time. Deadpool spends the entire movie risking it all to save a child because thats the right thing to do. He makes his choice and does it. This story runs in parallel to Colossus' story arc, where he learns that while being a just hero is important, sometimes in order to do right you have to get your hands dirty and can't be the chivalrous knight that he's portrayed as in the movies at all times. Both characters are at an extreme of each other and learn to meet in the middle to save, not the world, but the life of one child (and a bunch of kids that were being experimented on).

Despite the fact that high concepts like time travel are employed, it's not the main focus of the story allowing the story to stay personal and low key. If Pool just stepped aside and let Cable kill the kid, the world would have been saved. He knows thats not right and he goes out of his way to insert himself into the adventure to save that kid AND the world. It's not the greatest story of all time or anything, but it's surprising how much care for what Deadpool is and what a hero is put into the movie.

Spoiler: Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3 on the other hand throws all of that character development for Wade (None of the other characters from the first two movies are around outside of a cameo) but the window and makes him a caricature of what he actually is. He feels like Deadpool written by imgur albums and facebook jokes. His and Wolverine's relationship is a bizarre, uncomfortable phoned in story of two misfits learning to work together as we retread lessons that wade has learned long before. This Wolverine specifically never learned the lessons of the Fox Logan thats still dead in this movie, but he simply learns that Logan's lessons anyway making him feel pointless. They desperately wanted wolverine and grabbed one from another dimension and failed to do anything interesting with him.
One part that really annoyed me is Wolverine, knowing nothing about deadpool, going out of his way to call him a failure who has never helped anyone and no one cares about, despite the fact that Deadpool here has proven the opposite (he doesn't know that) and Deadpool accepts it like it's true???? Like pretending none of the growth from the other movies ever happened?
I'd make fun of the boring british antagonists, but all the deadpool movies have british villains? I don't know why they didn't joke about that. It tries to be some high stakes adventure when thats never what Deadpool needed to be. The past movies proved it. It just feels all over the place with nothing interesting happening. I'm actually finding it hard to complain about it because I can't remember all of it very well.

I'm actually frustrated that it's so beloved. I don't get it. Is it the cameos? Cameos for characters from a universethat the movie spends its entire time shitting on and belittling, but they had a cute montage of them at the end so its ok. I don't know. I saw it for free and still want my money back. I think I need to rewatch it to complain better, but naaaaaaaaah

I loved the first one. It was the most comic book of all the MCU films.

Civil War, though? That... well, it was a better Avengers film than all but Infinity War, yeah. But it still sucked.

No he fucking isn't. He was, then they had Peter make a deal with the devil. Now MJ is in a relationship with a self insert that everyone hates, and they try and make Peter have a good relationship with MJ and the self insert. The only reason he isn't is because editorial hates the idea that Peter can have any happiness, and they hate his relationship with MJ. To the point they made it so Gwen cheated on Peter with Green Goblin and had kids that tried to kill Peter. Of course it didn't fit her character, and it only just recently got retconned.

Also, did Thanos ask for half the population of every species to be wiped out? If anything his plan would work better if entire populations would be wiped out while others survived untouched as then the repopulation would be slower. Would have been funny if Thanos snapped and Earth remained untouched so he just left and no one really cared that some bug alien species three galaxies away got wiped out.

If I were to steelman this, I feel like given the fact that the person who snapped everyone back is supposed to be one of the smartest people alive (lol), he probably would've thought of this, and had all of these people reappear in a continuously safe environment.
