Going to linux/ubuntu where there's 0 support from pretty much everything Kronii currently uses is honestly kinda a bad idea. Even without having to learn how to use linux, she will have to relearn how to use all her tools and software from scratch.
E.g used to photoshop after effects and premier pro? Time to learn shotcut, davinci, pinta buddy.
also OBS doesn't work well with Nvidia graphic cards on Linux?
And this is not knowing what kinda obscure programs she needed as a streamer/hololive mandates/singers/asmr/etc.
And after all of this half the game out there doesn't work with Linux. I know kronii don't play league/valorant/apex. But if she wanted to for some reason. Better fly to japan buddy.
Or something with a million mods needed like GTARP or Ark, ya think all of those hundred of mods will work well on linux?

Unpopular opinion but beside the taskbar and right click change windows 11 works just fine. I have had it for 3 years and I don't really care. There are software out there that actually "fix" it back to windows 10 layout. But I honestly don't care enough to install them. Linux users on reddit cries about ads on windows 11. I never had that. And those who do can disable them with a simply click. Whatever niche programing software you uses that works with windows 11 and not windows 10, kronii won't be using them. If you think windows 11 spy on you and windows 10/7 doesn't. You are sorely mistaken.

My only issues with windows 11 is them threatening to remove control panel. Which they haven't.

TLDR how was Vshojo JP?

In my opinion really good. Four interesting and talented people with a good range of content types between them. They've been relatively successful as well all things considered.

Hotaru is a professional yapper, she talks at at least 15000 words a minute all while keeping up the ojou-sama act. She has a really nice voice, so nice even that people are suspecting she might be a trained voice actress and not a former corpo or indie VTuber at all, since nobody has been able to find her so far. She even voice acted the two who debut tomorrow in a little visual novel skit she did and her range is incredible, if you told me they were different people I'd probably believe you. She seems like a massive One Piece fan, specifically the card game.
I'll just share the goals for each debut since I think they say the most about the tuber:

You can definitely hear that Hestia is not a native Japanese speaker and she slips into English sometimes but the whole debut was still mostly in Japanese, I wonder how much of that discission was VShojo wanting to establish this as a clear Japanese branch with fewer blurred lines than KSON and Henya have. Hestia said she'll stream exclusively on twitch from now on while YouTube will be for Videos, Shorts and Music only (she used to stream on both before).

Overall impressions are really good across the board. So far both of the debut VODs seem to be unlisted, which is odd, but I guess they'll be uploaded elsewhere. Didn't take long at all. You can catch the VOD of Hotaru's debut on YouTube and I assume Hestia's VOD will follow soon.

Peke is peak. She does sort of play into the cute and funny tropes, but she has a really nice voice and is a good talker. Nazuna vibes but without the menhera (so far). Once again nobody seems to know who the fuck she is and like with Hotaru before, the best guess people have is that she is a trained voice actress or someone else from the entertainment industry since she is so good at using her voice, acting the model and singing.

Nagi was the most nervous out of them all and she took a good 5-10 minutes to calm down. She talked about food for quite a while and she says she doesn't like exercise (one for the ). She's the gamer of the group, lot's of competitive shooters in her fave list, I think she also said she never owned a console and she does all her gaming on PC. There is some theories as to who she might be, but nothing convinced me yet.

She also sang a song live instead of releasing a debut cover. She then went on to show her gun (no fat fingers, architects in shambles), before accidentally shooting her monitor and rapidly ending stream and raiding into Hotaru for the collab.

Anyways, first full Nova collab on now (if Nagi didn't actually break her fucking monitor):

VShojo is doing another PR offensive in Akiba, this time for the JP Nova wave.

Obviously this is early on, but I think they've done quite well this time at actually catching a native audience.
The few streams I've seen from them so far have all done quite well all things considered, especially for twitch standards.

This was so goddamn good man. Their voices were a great fit together, the setlist was peak, the choreography was simple but adorable and that original song medley completely took me by surprise. I especially loved the transition from Tokusha-seizon Wonder-lader to Inochi. That original song is an absolute crowd banger too. I hope the affiliate status lets Chloe sing it with them at 6th fes because it'd be so hype.

Then they ended it off with the letters Kanata wrote and fucking Bright Parade. They definitely wanted you to cry and it worked. I don't think this is Chloe's last time on stage since she should be in the New Years live IIRC, but if it is then it was a perfect sendoff.

For the most part, I agree with you. I love Ubuntu but it is NOT for everyone and certainly not for Kronii. Frankly, I would never recommend a Linux platform for someone who works remote in any case, you can't afford to troubleshoot Linux quirks when you're using enterprise software (most of which only works on Windows anyways) from home on company time. A lot of the time you can use a VM but that doesn't lend itself well to smoothly streaming gameplay, as in Kronii's case.


With that said, 11 is actually terrible in terms of bugs. There are some very strange firmware and driver interactions that are straight up bricking PCs right now. Going off the top of my head, the latest major update to 11 makes it possible for games with Easy Anti-Cheat to straight up murder your computer, and if you have a Western Digital SSD in your computer and upgrade to 11 it can kill your PC as well. Lot of network and detection issues cropping up too; just a lot of dumb bugs that should never exist in a competent OS.

Windows 11 is just sloppy work. Microsoft is simply not inclined to do a good job for their userbase, it's all about that sweet sweet AI money and data-farming. I dropped them well over a decade ago and haven't regretted it once.
