He was ok when he just reported the news instead of his opinion and funny when Ian used to buck break him by telling people how to make mustard gas live on air. At some point he cracked down and it became the Tim Pool ranting hour.
It's not, it's just people don't actually understand how they call races. It's entirely a prediction based on how much they expect votes to come in from certain places. Basically, if an entire state has been counted but a city, and one candidate has strong backing in the city, but still needed like 50 votes to win, they'll call the election for the guy who has a strong base in that last city. When a news station "calls" a state it's literally just a "this is what we predict based on info we have from our own guys, crunching the numbers, and from other stations." Yes, they do and have called states wrongly and then have had to walk back their call, like they did with Florida back in 2000. Even before TV, of course, the famous picture of Truman.
Basically, it's just them guessing, and has always been them guessing, and yes it blows up in their face at times.
The AP is gonna try to do what they did last time by having Trump have the lead all night then Biden sneak ahead at the end. Last time it was Ole Arizona being the plot twister. Granted if Trump wins Minnesota....
