To play Devil's advocate and parrot the only reasonable take I saw about it when pcg was upset over it, there were bound to be people who didn't watch to the end of the civ 4 stream let alone the watchalong. It's seriously crazy how YouTube created a feature that streamers could use to directly message out to subs that streams are canceled only for Pippa to never use it. Asking Pippa to make an announcement on Xitter is really optimistic.

I didn't know this was a thing, I'll be honest and say I wouldent trust YouTube to actually send those notifications at a reasonable speed but she's shown the last few months she can announce for sure and possible cancelations well ahead of time, I just assume it's another case of whatever she was canceling for was something she was excited about and she tunnel visioned it.
