🎊Check out the new Kamioshi Shrine thread! Shill YOUR kamioshi here! Win prizes!🎊
April is just around the corner, and I'd like to use this time to remind users to donate in support of the site. I am looking into purchasing more add-ons to streamline and enhance user experience, and I am also going to hire another VPS for additional backup space and other important purposes in April.
In addition: I am looking for users who would be interested in becoming Orderlies for the new vtuber threads. Responsibilities would include highlighting and properly collating information in each thread, and also maintaining the announcement widgets for each thread. Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS (very easily learned) essential. DM me your interest.
Finally, I'm looking for anyone with intermediate to advanced HTML/CSS/PHP knowledge to continue work on the forum styles. I am willing to pay for this service, but if I do, I expect commitment and results within a reasonable timeframe. DM me any offers. Thank you.
Don't worry, every few months Clara will reignite the dying star.
okay, I don't know a lot about vtubing in general, but is it common for all the women to be in porn? Granted, the video Clara was in was just soft core stuff of her in a swimsuit, but Ember is a legit camwhore iirc. The only other one that comes to mind is Noel in Hololive.
Tbh gravure is basically as explicit as average cosplayers these days. They are usually bikini/swimsuit pictures. Probs even more clothing than most flesh twitch streamers. Idk where the line for porn is regarding these.
All of those you named have different circumstances. Note that vtuber is still a very new thing and wasn't a thing 10 years ago, and certified hags could have dipped into "porn" based on completely different career paths.
1. Idol career path: Clara was a flesh idol where Gravure is very common for them to sell. Idols from that era like Kiara/Fuwamoco might or might not have sold one. But a certain unrelated keekihime sold one around 2019, as a cosplayer.
2. Voice Actor career path: Most Japanese voice actors did eroge under different aliases. They did them as an aspiring voice actor similar to how Hollywood actors started by taking extra roles in films. A very few of aspiring seiyuu actually become vtubers (likely because the normie industry looked down on vtubing as something only for washed retirees), some were obscured enough you never find the eroge they voiced, but some you do (Polka case)
3. Intervention from above: Noel was a very popular camwhore who didn't know what a vtuber was and didn't even auditioned to Hololive. Some schizo applied using her name for whatever reason, but turned out Holo actually wanted her. Camwhores who gets accepted into corpo were actually very rare until Vallure. There's like Ember/Projekt Melody/Noel? VShojo was specifically founded for Melody rather than her auditioning. I can't name more off my head, but generally people don't become Camwhore if they are interesting/good content creator. And people who aren't interesting don't pass auditions.
Am i in the minority for thinking this is nothing but banter? Do holofags here actually, genuinely resent Phase? Do Phasefags genuinely resent Hololive? Either would be news to me.
I usually just shitpost for the fun of it and only pretend to care. I'm genuinely surprised so many Holofags on this forum take my comments seriously and respond so aggressively when the start of my fake Italian arc was pretending to be outraged and leaving this forum. Feels like all the talents leaving this year, especially two notable HoloEN talents, has made Holofags super irritable. I can't really blame them, the idea that their oshi could leave because they got stiffed with the one fag manager that Fauna had and get cockblocked by perms/cancelled projects is bound to make people on edge.
The most surprising thing to me in that regard was seeing a few people in the last couple months get seemingly-genuinely agitated by phasebegging instead of laughing it off. One person even wrote a fanfic about "all the people Phase couldn't get" in order to explain that Fauna won't, in fact, be joining Phase(...yeah, no shit).
This is a recent development effectively forced into existence by a person who's clearly more comfortable doing IRL-streaming than, i imagine, most of Phase girls are, let's not pretend that this is some longterm management position.

In Japan there's much more of a continuum between respectable stuff and porn. Anyone who's tried to be an idol will have been asked to do swimsuit videos and probably more - of course they're free to refuse, but the idol business is competitive and if they're not doing everything they can to attract fans.... And most people who have the skills and willingness to be vtubers will have tried to be idols.
Huh what? No they don't, not for professional jobs in developed countries. You can be written up, you can be fired, you can maybe be demoted which would come with a pay cut but only if you've been promoted in the first place, suspension happens during an investigation but not as a punishment, and always on full pay. Monetary punishments make it too easy for bullying and coercion to happen, so they're either straight up illegal or open an employer up to so much liability that they might as well be.
I'm curious, is Clara still babysitting Sakana's dog? No joke, that could be the decider on whether she gets a disciplinary for this or not.
Phase absolutely need to intervene with her now that it's spilling on to her company account, this shit serves no-one and needlessly splits an otherwise tight-knit fanbase. I remember about ~2 years ago Rie made an unnecessary politispergy comment about J.K. Rowling, got backlash for it, and seemingly learnt from that mistake by keeping her mouth shut about social politics ever since - while Clara's actively escalating and shows no sign of pulling up of her own accord. If the insecure zero-opsec collar-wearing incest-RPer Tinder girl can maintain basic professional standards better than you, there is a genuine problem.

People have been mad about Phasebegging since the first two Invaders joined. It's why there are Phase-related bait threads on the catalogue every fucking day - because it works. A lot of people who do not watch Phase-Connect have very strong opinions on Phase-Connect, and become genuinely irate at the thought of their oshi associating with them - which only ramped up after the Yuri termination since retards who have no idea how IP ownership works convinced themselves that Phase somehow stole IP from someone who consciously signed a contract to hand it over.
I dislike begging when people go to the streamers directly and pester them to join Phase, but if it's some sped on a forum or imageboard posting about it, chill.
Actual informative post among the cope and bants
IIRC; She wanted to move to Japan, allegedly Kawaii would help her do so. I assume the rigging she did for herself and I think one of her genmates (might've been Suzu iirc) was her trying to cozy up management to expedite the process. Plans fell through on Kawaii's end of the deal because quite honestly what kind of small corpo has money to spend to be able to relocate a talent to a country across the sea? This upset her and she wanted out.
Bro I haven't watched a NijiEN talent regularly (I still occasionally watch Rosemi, I was occasionally watching Vivi before she left) since the Selen termination. Vsoyboy can sit on the throne. I just know oldfag lore lol.
I am not sure right now whether it was monetary or visa help. Visa makes more sense because Kawaii's management was originally located in Japan. I'll probably dunpster dive through warosu to verify in the evening tomorrow if nobody else does.

The funniest part is that it's very clear Fish has changed how Invaders work as all of the new Invaders had their own IP but still debuted with a new IP so it doesn't come up again.
I can assure you that suspension of your professional license, during which time you cannot earn money via your normal business, is 100% doled out as a punishment in the legal profession by bar discipline committees.
I was under the impression that Ember's camgirl arc was a temporary thing that happened when he mom cut her off during college and she needed be able to support herself immediately, and that she wasn't doing it anymore by the time she joined Phase. IIRC the archived video was dated 2019-ish.
