the shiina slippers look nice but they suck as slippers. toe box is too flexible and i find my toes sliding off the sole every step.

I'm trying to remember who it was who said (maybe Shylily, who herself is practically a dwarf IRL) that most vtubers are unusually tiny in person.

Most of the vtubers that I watch are Asian women, so of course most of them are tiny.

So maybe Uruka is a freakishly tall 6ft+ goliath, or simply a 5'8" string bean, who only appears unusually tall in comparison to the hobbits that make up most of Phase Connect.

Yeah, I don't know if Uruka is freakishly tall for a human woman, or just freakishly tall for a Chinese woman, but either way, she still probably towers over the other Phase girls.

Either way it's really funny to imagine Reticule as a kippah-clad Gollum hunched over a keyboard and a meat effigy of Pippa typing out his responses while hissing "THEY DON'T KNOW MY PRECIOUS MEATKINSSSSSSSS"

That's half of the reason. The other is that her parents threatened to disown her if she didn't quit Vtubing and find a real job. They knew of her moonjelly persona and related socials so as a precaution she wanted a new identity to keep streaming with, she was also confident enough that they weren't going to dig into it though so elected to basically hide in plain sight. She continues to partially lie to her parents about what she does, telling them she's just a freelance musician and they continue to tell her to get a real job in IT, but are more content to let it slide these days because she makes decent money.

She just needs to find herself a good husband that her parents approve of (not @Negzana). Then her parents won't care about her job anymore. They'll only care about when she's going to give them grandchildren.

I thought someone figured out Uruka was like 5'11"? (Around 178cm or so) Pippa being in the 5'6" range wouldn't be too surprising given her general genetics.

The new invaders are not debuting this weekend right? I'm trying to recall where the fuck I got this idea or who said they were going too but I can't find it. Because if they're debuting this weekend and there are no official trailers or ads by now seems weird unless the new ones just go and say yeah I'm an invader now and move on with their stream.
There's also another thing that caught my eye was that my nigga fishman quoted the announcement saying "two years" which isn't that the amount of time gura started to ghost holo? I know it's dumb but it would be pretty funny ngl

I think he probably means it’s been almost 2 years since the last gen was debuted. Euphoria debuted in December 2023 and Kaleido debuted in January 2024.


Anyways if the Phase Connect page on the Virtual YouTubers wiki is accurate and we’re following a similar format as the previous two or three gens, the upcoming reveal this weekend might only be their names and Twitter accounts, with the actual debut date be a further 2-3 weeks later.
