On the nerd side, I can say that those of around my age and older who have TTD were like all nerds were: soft left-leaning libertarians. That classification, as illogical as it may sound, was basically what all nerds were from the '50s till the '00s - leave alone, accepting, but generally out of politics people. When the 2010s hit, it caused a schism. For some, it broke their brains harder than the even brainwashed lefty Zoomers, and they've gone so far off the deep end that I really need to give up hope of ever seeing them sane again. For others, we got a good unsolicited dose of reality. Nerd brains kicked in, caused us to look deeper into whatever was going on, and what was discovered showed us that the world was not what the schools and media had lead us to believe.

Now, of those couple of soft left-leaning libertarian nerd generations, they heavily split into the turbo-lefties that are speedrunning the downfall of Western civilization (and humanity as a whole), and others (like me) who make Hitler look like a pussy (which he was.
