That Heatmap actually changed online discourse. It's worked its way through most sections that aren't hard-core Progressive, and most are coming around to "oh, these people actually are idiots". It's a little more complicated than that, but that's the general reality. People that can't figure out the moral difference between an Asteroid and a small child should we no where near managing either of those.
