I mean that is all of us, even many of us chumbuds. Besides the fact that Gura has kind of been AWOL for 2 years and everybody expected it could happen at any time, after 4-5 in a row you start growing numb to them and they have less of an impact.

Honestly, Senzawa/Gura abandoning content creation just because of being too popular is too much of a retarded idea. Who abandons working in entertainment because of being successful at it??? It doesn't make sense. I really have to believe that Gura is going to abandon the possibility of being one of the most popular indie vtubers, doing things the way she wants, just to become a wagie????

Gura/Senzawa didn't really sign up for it.
Senzawa was making shitpost music videos on youtube. Sure it was content, but she wasn't doing consistently and there was never a "I'm going to do this as a full time job". Then she saw this weird hololive company holding audition, sent a half-assed video and then Hololive basically harassed her into taking the job. She even declined doing the 2nd round interview or something.
She's literally the reason Hololive become big, they were a nobody before then in the west. She had no idea what it is or what she signed up for when she sent that audition video.

Her explosive success resulted in 3 things:
1. The pressure to keep pushing out good content. She set a too high target for herself that she gradually think she's not good enough for her popularity. This is a well documented thing called "imposter syndrome". If she thinks she can't make a good enough stream she just won't stream it, and this ended up with her literally not finishing any games.
And the times she did stream you can see the high quality of streams that made her so loveable....
2. Reading 1 or 2 comments saying "Korone should have gotten 1 mil first" and brain worms say "you don't deserve it over korone". Also known as "one guy'd syndrome"
3. Taking responsibility for the notorious chumbuds, they don't get their reputation for nothing. As much as we call her dumb, she should not be completely oblivious to what the chumbuds were doing or how nasty they were to her/others.

That's a fair point. Is been an emotional rollercoaster and not much fuel is left there after the last few grad announcements.

Kiara is currently talking about Gura and the recent graduations and from the way she's talking about them she's giving off the impression that this is the last one for now

No one likely has a contract up until near the end of the year, so we likely have at least 6 months until whatever next "seasons" graduations are. There's always going to be a couple each contract cycle because that's just the nature of it. Things just got bottled up for a while.

That said, a couple of the JP members will probably outlast Youtube in the wildest Guru Larry approach we'll ever see. Thankfully, we haven't had anyone have to leave because of supremely dire situations, but, sadly, that is an eventuality.
