Plenty of talents themselves have used DDOL arts in their thumbnails. Must have been suffering to see something you hate constantly getting acknowledged and appreciated by the talents themselves.

Yes it was grueling. Specially for vtubers I don't care about but the clippers, playing the algorithm meta, shoved down my "also watched" lists. Counseling and meds helped me a lot.

I am getting mixed signals in whether management is evil or not.

Management is management it's composed of different people that either take their jobs seriously and help the talents or just clock in and clock out. And I doubt some of them have a vendetta against the talents themselves. So they are a necessary evil at best and intolerable one at worst.
