i dont know how everyone predicted the holomyth and all of the tempus boys correctly. i think the only one they didnt predict from tempus was lando and lloyd

Lando was predicted. I'm pretty sure like one or two of the council girls were predicted before the debut, I specifically recall Fauna being predicted to be Lemonleaf really early on. I think it was the twitter interactions that caused people to guess Fauna pre-debut. I'm not 100% sure on what exactly did it but I think Shondo's behavior tipped a lot of people off.

Concerning the earlier theory, that someone who made it in was canned when the twins applied, leading to a previous model being shelved and a twin model of an existing one being made.

Would never happen. Unless you fuck up, if you're in, you're in.

However, Holo does typically open auditions for five member generations, and it's safe to say that they didn't start the audition process with twins in mind. Models also have plenty of precedent of predating the talents (may or may not be tweaked after the talent has been picked).

So the possibility that a model was shelved to make space for the twins is actually a pretty strong one.

But shelving a model is such a waste... what if a sixth talent did make it in? Just not as part of this gen, but as, say, vsinger #2?

Absolutely a rrat, but I've seen crazier things.

There's that rumor that Kiara was supposed to be gen 5 before being moved to HoloEn. Perhaps that "sixth" talent is being saved for later

I believe Mumei and Bae were unknown, but Shachimu was a favorite candidate going in so people pegged her right away. I remember Bae being Marica took the longest to source.

Correct, I remember it being like this too. Marica was also a suspect but around that time there were so many possible candidates we just didn't know. Most of these candidates ended up in Niji or Idol btw.

Designed by Lui's and Chloe's artists, respectively, they were unveiled in 2nd Fes and auditions were held for the characters, which I believe is when Chloe and Lui were hired (Lui mentioned having to wait a year to debut), but never ended up being used. Though, obviously, both artists were retained and asked to design the girls that became Lui and Chloe.

You know looking at those models they have similarities to Lui and Chloe what with the bird motif for proto Lui and the black/white/red color scheme for Chloe I can see both talents using those respective models

Shachimu was thought to be Petra in Obsydia and likely who Selen thought she was then Council happened and we were like "there she is"

I also have a bit of bad blood with MangaGamer and associates, but that was a lifetime ago. I feel like their financial troubles would have been vastly improved, if they stuck with the GGN branding and girls instead of chasing what they perceived to be the 'easy money'. Visual Novels in the west had their peak nearly a decade ago, they failed to capitalize on it, and as a result stick to selling pornography. Sure, when I was a strapping young lad, I was all about that, but then I grew up, got back into my religion, discarded pornographic interests - and it seems the overall market outside of MangaGamer is also slowly going the same way, with people craving the cult-classics they otherwise wouldn't have known existed with even a modicum of proper marketing and stream presence, but those aren't even on the table when coomers still keep their lights on, however dim its brightness over the years.

...But I digress, autism and personal anecdotes aside, I want nothing but the best for the twins. They were treated horribly, they deserve the success, I'm going to Tier 3 the second it drops and remain for as long as they wish to stay with HoloLive. I hope that they do, they have the sheer potential to make millions under the company just like the other top talents there.

Lando was the ONLY 100% prediction of Tempus, as he liked a Magni art on his Lando account, but it was screenshotted by 3 other anons before he removed it. It was Axel who people couldn't identify until post debut, as he was a literal who. Can't comment on Vanguard, as I was out of town during the week of their debut.

As for council girls, the only one that was wrongly predicted by a lot of people was Fauna, who most people wanted to be Hana Flores (aka Beryl) but this may have been copium more than anything (Lemonleaf was the 2nd most popular guess). Kronii was like a 90% guess as her Dottovu friends had a Kronii fan art twit like a few minutes after her twitter came up, Sana was about the same prediction strength as we knew that she was connected to Ina, while Mumei was about a 70% prediction strength as her art was VERY similar to Shachimu (plus Shachimu was the highest subbed youtuber that was available at that time AND she didn't become NijiEN's Petra). I forgot exactly how Bae got deduced, but I'm 100% sure the name Marica Bellrose came up before debut and was the lead guess (if I had to guess, it's because Miori was one of the first followers).

IRyS was the hilarious one, as the first guess most people had in vt was Avril Lavigne. Probably just a meme joke, but after that Namirin was the the highest prediction due to being the highest profile anime singer with Vtubing experience, on top of living in Japan (which is probably a requirement due to recording issues and it was the height of Covid restictions).

Dottovu/Kronii was a given because her artist friend (whose name I'm blanking on right now) posted a highly detailed fan art Kronii even before any of the official reveals.

Namie was also a given because of the art used in their official reveal.

People were also expecting Marica Bellerose in some capacity

I'm surprised they didn't keep auditions open for unused characters and integrate them into later generations or projects if they find someone fitting, it seems like a waste not to use them.

I really like the design on the right, even if she is just a more mature-looking Remi.
