I'd just like to take this opportunity to reiterate that as far as I can tell, the hate for Veibae comes from

1. Shittalking Hololive (doubled down; two years ago)
2. Bitching about Shylily (they have since made up)
3. Being Vshojo (left the company)

It's not much, it's not a big deal, and just the handful of clips and screenshots I've seen already even this out.

I'm deeply concerned that Veibae may actually be a decent person with frequently decent takes who gets a bad rep from a handful of bad takes.

Obviously, no one here has ever had a bad take they may have either regretted or doubled down on, so we're all clearly better than her, but even so, Veibae may not literally be an evil witch.

Selen is participating in the "dumbest shit someone can say" the last couple of weeks and she is winning. What a weird fucking situation. From what I can gather, Kirbopher was cancelled for what amounts to ex-girlfriends calling him a big meanie and breaking Nintendo NDA - the worst accusation leveled against him seems to be "emotional abuser". It's incredibly hard to tell what's up because the accusations are all tumblr word vomit, so I'd be grateful if someone has a better handle or a stomach for that kind of stuff.

Now Ken? Old 4Chan guy, used to make videos about mocking low hanging fruit, seems to have spent most of the last several years ERPing as a tiny lesbian panda and commissioning mountains of related porn. Unsettling behavior, and the reaction here seems somewhat unhinged too. If Kirb has skeletons in his closet, Ken has an entire necropolis.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to bat for someone I've become aware of this week. I just can't think of a lot of people I'd be more cautious of than Ken.

Was the boat from Darnassus to Stormwind not in Classic? Because Vesper just did some fucking 400IQ swim around half the continent, and then drowned himself to teleport to a graveyard, just to get to Ironforge.

Yes, there was no Stormwind Harbor until Wotlk. If you wanted to get to Stormwind as a Night Elf, you'd have to go to Darkshore, take the boat to Wetlands, run through Wetlands, get to Ironforge, and then take the Deeprun Tram to Stormwind. It was a rite of passage for Night Elf players as the Wetlands is like 10-15 levels higher than you usually.

Even if she was the worst performing person on the team there is still an absolute minimum level of performance she has to achieve to do this successfully. And she hit it. I highly doubt you can boost any random to Pred rank.

We've already discussed this on Monday in detail. All it takes is one of your teammates to survive to the top 10 (literally just half the lobby) to gain LP. Considering she's running with 2 pros, placing top 10 each game is pretty much a given. Additionally the entry fee drop from 70+ LP to 35 LP means you'll rank up very fast if you just place decently. The whole "it's only top 750 players" is relegated to your system (PC in this case) and it's entirely about spamming games to grind up. In fact, as I'm posting this Selen has already been knocked out of Pred.

In my earlier comment, I even noted a pro that got to pred this season by doing literally ZERO DAMAGE, let alone kill anyone. I'm not shitting on Selen and calling her trash, I'm pointing out how absolutely fucking retarded and meaningless the ranked system this season is and how spamming games with 2 pros makes getting Pred not worth talking about. It's like if you somehow queued up in League of Legends with Faker and Bengi but you guys time traveled to rank in NA during Season 2. It's basically non-achievement and regardless of whatever her performance was during her grind, trolls were obviously going to give her shit and say she got carried. From what I can tell, no one is angry with her performance or what she's doing. They're just annoyed by the fact that Selen was upset that trolls (no one worth caring about) disregarded her pred rank this season (something that no one fucking cares about).

They removed the scaling entry fee to play, where it was at 10 LP for lower rank to 70+ LP at top ranks. They made it a static amount and it is way too low (35 LP).

So you just need to survive to the top 10 (outlive half the lobby) and you gained +20 LP out of the game while getting very little LP for kills. The assist timer has also been increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds, which makes it easier for you to get boosted. So the whole system rewards you for just doing rat behavior and not actually shooting your gun in the FPS game. One of the pros has already hit pred without doing any damage, let alone getting a single kill.
