I started seeing those images two years ago after a Japanese Twitter artist was harrassed for drawing super cool pictures of Native Americans. They successfully ran him off Twitter from January 2021 to December 2021. His terrible crime was thinking Native Americans looked cool while not being one.

I feel like those images predate 2021. I want to say they originate from when a Japanese artist drew some American cartoon character with lighter skin than normal and got dogpiled for whitewashing, then posted an apology, and American fans wanted to notify other Japanese artists that they should just ignore these people. I want to say this was at least five years go.

Just want to highlight a tweet that hit my feed, mainly because it broke containment. This small indie vTuber who makes her own model put this video out. It's currently at 230k or so views, and it has been circulating through the Alphabet mafia's Twitter circles. Most of the quote tweets are the usual suspects calling her a pedo and leaving death threats. The usual.

She's not totally wrong but she's framing it in a really aggressive manner. I kinda wonder if she was intentionally outrage-baiting. She probably could have said what she was trying to say in a more conciliatory manner, but then I guess she wouldn't have gotten the dogpiling from the antis and resulting free exposure to people who might actually be her audience.

Real voices always sound better than vocaloid imo, tis why I never really got into it. Any halfway decent cover artist will blow it out of the water.

This is actually why Mitchie M is my favorite Vocaloid producer. He actually makes the singers more natural-sounding.

Ironmouse is well-connected and all, but I feel like with her group of friends and how VShojo operates, they're not the ones that are exactly the right kind of people to host a VTuber award show. If anything, I think it should be community-run. People like Depressed Nousagi, (and admittingly FalseEyeD), Naggz, Koefficient, and other people that actually know more about the deeper VTuber community than just VShojo. Hell, have Nux join in as well--he seems like he knows more VTubers than Ironmouse and VShojo ever did

But hey, if Ironmouse is insistent in doing it, she might as well also make it a collab and actually have Nijisanji and Hololive as hosts as well.

If its true and this is what mouse is doing why would she not use her connections to get the people you mentioned on board not like shes gonna do it all alone.

If I had to guess Connor/Trash Taste will at least have a judge rep.

Not sure who else she knows who would make good "judge" material tho

Probally split each Vtuber into categories and to avoid bs drama try to focus on categories that can be proven statistically Most Growth in time period kind of thing.

Probably some fun side categories as well like since theres not enough Vtubers for a yearly cooking category something like "most edible dish"

IronMouse just said she's hoping to make a proper Vtuber award show of some sort, and has been working on it behind the scenes with staff at Vshojo.

Immediately tried to damage control her leak, vagueposting queen at it again. Sounds interesting but we'll see how her schedule allows to actually follow through on it.

Whilst a vtuber award show would be good, the only way it can be legit is if vshitshow have nothing to do with organising it.

Otherwise it will effectively be a rigged mess with only vshojo and orbiters having a real chance of getting nominations and awards.

Needs to be a neutral yet known figure running the show, someone that isn't heavily biased towards one company in particular.

Speaking of ironlung, she chose her winners of getting more models and Rurumi's design was the first pick.
