I agree, RTS as a genre is mired in autists that are convinced if you aren't playing meta you aren't playing it correctly, and then they wonder why the RTS genre is dying while they have chased away everyone else with a slight interests in it.

I fcuking hate Meta austist, The reasons for the RTS genre is too find and exploit ways to defeat your opponent in an ever changing battlefield not using the same tricks over and over again. However I am more surprised though that there isn't much anger coming from Kiara's chat when she played AOE, Probably because she encouraged backseating or AOE doesn't have much autistic players.

It is more that AOE 2 doesn't really have a meta right now, and the community more or less understand most strategies doesn't work in campaigns.

I watched some of Kiara latest AOE 2, and the things the chat was malding over were pretty reasonable, for chats standard, like when she had trebuchets and still ran her army under towers and took a lot of unnecessary loses, even though she knew what the trebuchets did, but other than that, it wasn't that much overt back seating going on that was anything to mald over, and the chicken did a good job in curbing it to a good enough level for her.

My two cents in the RTS spergergy; from what I've seen of the AoE fandom, there is a big overlap with history autists, who are more concerned with historical accuracy in the game than any kind of meta. So they tend not to care as much if someone isn't as good if they're learning the game.

Speaking of historical autism, the butter loving german doktah is playing CK2 as Scotland, making her the 3rd vtuber who I've seen play a grand strategy game.

Altare also posted his stream and it is pretty standard stuff, but he is going to continue his Pikachu only endurance stream adventures. Time for Altare to stream more then the rest of Tempus combined again.
