Who knows, it's kind of like the Minecraft meme where connections can fly completely under the radar so long as you don't advertise them, who's talking to who and about what. The whole underbelly of FF14 RP houses is already wild enough that I could believe anything.
I do know most of Vshojo plays FF14 regularly, or at least did for a long time, but they only streamed it once or twice years ago and have kept it a personal game since. Every now and then they'll get a request to play it which they gloss over or they'll recognise references like Emet so it seems to be ongoing. Might be a connection there.

FFXIV is the only MMORPG I have tried and stuck with until Endwalker, so that says something (also endwalker gives you a good stopping point if you want to hop off because major plot points have been resolved in it).

this is also why you have a lot of chuubas unwilling to play their character on stream, because it would be mentally exhausting to be "on" all the time off-stream, or their character would reveal more about themselves than they otherwise would want to publicly admit
