I have to say, I knew Rin's audience skewed young, but the amount of shit I saw popping off when she mentioned the word asexual has made me have to recatagorize it as Tumblr/Twitter youth.

oh buddy the amount of tumblr style artworks in her art tag is quite a lot

but then again her being asexual is something ive seen since my first stream that i watched so its not surprising because she doesnt revolve herself around it

Rin is very much in my "I never pay attention to the chat" column for vTubers. She's never really interacted with her chat as much as other streamers, so I've just not bothered. I rarely chat for most streamers anyways. Beyond a certain size chatting is basically just pissing into the ocean.

I remember listening to her talk about how many doors opened for her recently and how excited she was to get to organize these events because she had always wanted to do it. I just can't imagine she organized the Puyo Puyo tournament and then realized part way through organizing the Fall Guys one it was too much a pain in the ass to do that one and any future one and makes those Tweets. Management has to have been the ones to shut it down with how she worded them. This feels too much like another "COVID did it" thing.

I'm surprised she is streaming today, tbh. She can be pretty emotional when shit like this happens, I wonder if she will be able to keep quiet about it.

Say what you will, I WISH more vTubers would do this kind of talk with their viewers *cough*PIPPA*cough*. Some chats get totally insufferable after a major blow up, and then they become too afraid to tamp down on the bad actors worrying about it affecting their new growth.

I think it's annoying, condescending and futile for the streamer to try to wrangle chat. I think streams like this are more for the company to say "look we said it, now shut up". More mods, more bans, it'll work it's self out. We've seen Pippa begin to try and wrangle before but she she stops because it's impossible for her to draw a line because much of the annoying and stupid comments are perfectly inline with her content. Other then mods deleting and banning for rules and TOS stuff there's no way for her to say "only 75% retarded is allowed". Even some of the deleted stuff, she likes. Pippa actually trying to talk to chat about it would just be reading a PowerPoint from management and it would be obnoxious, boring and probably have the opposite effect.

Now some people can make wrangling chat into content, but then it creates a problem of people always acting up to get the attention and it turns into a bit instead of actual wrangling.

If you can tolerate the chicken then this stream is kinda gold

On one hand, sure, but real issue I have is they are using JPs being sweaty tryhards as an excuse to treat this as anything other than just a fun expo match and an obvious bit that Kiara was putting on. Fauna seemed fine with it, anyway, so who cares. Also, reading what abilities do without even knowing how the game works is overrated. She could read it and still have no idea. Better to just get a feel for things first and then go back.
