For those unfamiliar, it was a failure of a con, hosted in the Philippines

On the topic of conventions, this is a little late but earlier this month there was a weeb convention in the Philippines called CONquest. I believe this is the second year it's been put on. Unfortunately it had a lot of management issues which led to frustrations both of attendees and guests. Depressed Nousagi went as an attendee and here's his own clip of his longer stream on what happened.



And here's a clip from Bao's post-con stream. She was invited as a guest from the US but then nearly didn't have a presentation because staff basically forgot she existed. Young women always love being forgotten about.

What does "Not dispersing enough" mean in convention context?

My guess is that they cut the venue reservations too close to the precise time(s) that events were happening, but the crowds weren't leaving immediately after the events were done, which could lead to friction between either the venue and the organizers, or the venue/organizers and the attendees who needed to be made to leave.
