The two things I've seen people froth at the mouth over for kick is:
a) It's financed by a crypto gambling company (Stake), and gambling is bad (but gatcha is okay somehow). They figure it'll be encouraged and act as a gateway drug site for encouraging young gamers to gamble.
b) Places like Kick and Rumble and all of those alternate sites are populated by the people who got banned on Twitch and Youtube, so some people assume that everyone posting there is doing videos of themselves dressed in KKK robes while clubbing baby seals to death with their second amendment rifle stocks and screaming out racial epitaphs about how much they love (the Christian) God. And hey, maybe someone is posting that there, but some people seem to think that everyone using it is like that and therefore if you use the site that you're like that. The typical broad brush that modern social media dwellers seem to love using.

Like all "Progressive" ideologies, they can only survive if they control the "levers of power". They are mentally, physically and philosophically weak individuals, and they don't feel like they control Kick. It's a process that gets used to "Other" anything unless it pledges fealty. They'll hide behind legitimate concerns, but that's what it's about.
Kick actually isn't an "anything goes" platform, as neither is Rumble or Odyssey, for that matter. But the Hivemind doesn't assume it controls the spaces, so it labels it as "bad" until they pledge loyalty. Kick is functionally an advertising platform for Gambling companies, but that unironically means they actually care about the bottom line. The platform has a chance to actually work, though we'll see. It's degenerate, but for a different reason than Twitch or Youtube. Kick will survive if it simply enforces its rules consistently.
There's some sad irony that Mixer was actually a pretty solid platform, but lacked anything to pull creators over there after YT, Twitch and Facebook were already established.
TL;DR: Canceled People Stream there. Thus BIG EVIL. BECAUSE REASONS!

Also hoping Kick will stick around since it is practically funded by a casino (which is funny af).
Someone need to break Twitch monopoly in the streaming industry, just take a look at their ad rules that get immediate backlash from streaming giants.
There's a pretty good chance Kick only exists to promote their gambling business. Assuming that's the case, Kick itself won't need to be profitable as long as it drives money to their casino games.
I Believe xqc just signed a contract with Kick and asmongold is probably looking to do the same.

The Pools & Hot Tubs category on Kick is a joke title, there's no water involved the majority of the time (fucking shocker tbh) and it's a complete excuse tag for barely dressed whores to pre-game their OF/Fansly/Chaturbate streams that are linked directly in their profiles, or otherwise just untalented cunts to wear next to nothing in the hope that 95% titty exposure brings views.
If anyone remembers that insane whore ElisabeteTV, she's switched to Kick as ElisabeteXO, showing zero creativity but at least now she can suck on an ASMR mic in a bikini and rake in money from her retarded simps and doesn't even have to debase herself by cramming herself on Fansly anymore.
