There's plenty of dark skinned vtubers that don't get this type of harassment because they don't behave in a way that incites strife. This guy is not one of them with his loud victim complex and getting offended for other people.

Has anyone here ever actually worked with vtuber-related 3D or 2D modelling/rigging? I keep hearing Kirsche talk about how overpriced it is, and other people say that it's really hard. I've dabbled in 3D modelling repeatedly over the years, but due to terminal ADHD I always lose interest because I've never actually had anything worth doing with the skills.

If somebody here knows any good tutorials on the software involved and ways to get started, I'd be open to adding it to the Workshop as a dedicated thread.

I'm working on my own 2D and 3D and maybe it's me being stingy but it sure is overpriced going the "official" route. I've seen artists just starting to learn Live2D asking for thousands for models more stiff than a paper doll. 3D prices makes a little more sense if it's a wholly unique render with rigging but again for someone just starting streaming having to drop thousands on a model might be a turn off.
My solution was to commission the 2D art as a single layer drawing, separate the parts myself and then send the layere file to a rigger. I'm saving hundreds just by doing that not to mention the wait is much shorter.
As for 3D some Fiverr artists have much lower prices than twitter ones if you can temper your expectations. I might learn a bit of Blender to fix minor details and add more stuff to the model without having to pay again.

After googling, they fired their EN managers, put chinese ones instead, which lead to members quitting en masse. https://www.reddit.com/r/VirtualYou...apis_umina_had_her_debut_in_december_of_last/ thread about another member quitting. Their representative replied in the thread, alleging that company hired more people than they could manage, EN managers weren't properly doing their job and had to be replaced, "everything was done with agreement from both sides pls stop asking questions", and for some reason while defending himself decided to bring Rin from idolcorp into it with "instead of asking questions you should watch her shorts to find why I am not going to answer them". He also had some weird bits about having NSFW units within a company (I've never heard about them before and have no idea if it's like EIEN or anything) with, judging by context, allegations being thrown (in now deleted by mods comment) that members were forced to participate in such activities after a management replacement even if they weren't part of it.
The interesting part however, is Saha was able to secure rights for all of her social media accounts, YT channel and past work (covers). They are wiped out to a clean slate but all the followers and subs are there so she isn't starting from a complete zero. It's dreadful to imagine the level of internal fuckup that was happening, that a company let her and others go with no strings attached just so they don't go after them. Or the sheer incompetence when creating contracts for employers.

I wonder how these people know that none of the big corporate vtubers are black? Are they, gasp, doxfriends too? Or are they going to say some shit like "oh they don't talk/act black" like this doesn't reinforce stereotypes?

All I ask from my vtubers is that they provide content that I can enjoy. Who or what they legally fuck and how they look under the avatar is no more than a morbid curiosity. I also hope they're not a cunt and are generally honest people but in the world of content creation we really have no way of knowing outside of places like this forum or the homeland.

From what I've seen, commers have next to no loyalty. The second the reality of them never fucking their "oshi"/cumrag becomes clear, they will move on to the next vtuber who will give them that fantasy. It's why I have little respect for those kinds of vtubers as the end result always tends to be the same. Also, I find the practice to be a bit predatory, and is another reason why I stay away from streamers who participated in it.

Yeah I agree, I think there's acceptable amount that's like fan-service. Just giving the fans something they want as a treat, like some ASMR streams or voice packs, sexy art and stuff. But then somewhere there's line where it becomes the main draw of the vtuber or there $$$ source and it kind of ruins the rest of the Vtuber experience because it's just more like smut then. And of course if it's the main draw and it get compromisedby the pi pi pi pinus havers then yeah.... that's a big L.
