It's really mind boggling how Yagoo is probably one of the most popular person in Hololive community. Is it his charisma, is it just pure luck of Subaru misread his name, or is it just endearing seeing a passionate vr developer mistakenly created one of the biggest vtuber agency?

CEOs are supposed to be very serious and closed off from the public, specially in a society as square as japan, but Yagoo is like a silicon valley tech entrepreneur without the overwhelming sense that you're being pandered to. He's pretty honest and quiet most of the time, like he's not really putting on some facade of excitement over what he's selling you, he just smiles awkwardly because he's a sweaty techy who doesn't really know how to deal with the spotlight very well. Even if he is the head of a soulless corporation, it makes it seem that much more approachable.

Coco, by way over 100k. People are gradually forgetting just how huge of a figure she was because Kson hasn't done anything notable except collect superchats.

Actually, there is a mode called swap mode in this game. It requires both knowledge of tetris and puyo. It is more chaotic and fun to play.

I am by no means an expert, but in terms of balance of the asymmetric mode, I think it is pretty balanced when the players are pretty equal in terms their skill in their respective game. There is also a certain level of variance to each round to take into account, as well. If there is any sort of imbalance between the two games, it is definitely not large enough that individual skill is not more important. Some high-level play videos:

This shows decent carryover from PL, and as the one in Kawaii on the incline I would land on the side of saying that her success wasn't a fluke (of course, 8k vs 100k are leagues apart but it appears that she is hitting the ground running atm)

I thought the general consensus was that up until high tier play puyopuyo has the advantage. At high tier, Tetris has the advantage. None of the Hololive girls are high tier by any means and even if they understand the strategy for beating puyopuyo, not many of them could execute it.

Note: has advantage does not mean always beats. White side in chess has a 5ish percent edge on Black but put an hobbyist player on white against a pro and see how far that 5% takes you. Assuming equal skill levels you're basically losing as often as you are winning so just because world #1 and #2 Tetris lost to puyopuyo at some point doesn't prove that Tetris is weak.

Amameya and Doremy are two of the best tetris players in the world. Amameya even managed to 1 vs 98 tetris batter in tetris 99, which makes him a legend:

The chatroom and suisei taught the wrong strategies to the newbies (double T-spin strategy). Double T-spin really needs to play a lot tetris before you can execute perfectly. The girls should instead use straight forward strategies to play. Damn I really hope Hachaama is in this tournament because she is the only one that use 2-wide and 3-wide strategy in her tetris 99 gameplay, which may have a chance against Marine

Honestly I would like for this to be a thing. Maybe someone like Sana that doesn't seem to have any bad blood with the company and is working by doing something completely unrelated could possibly come back maybe for an event or two. Honestly you are as good as your active viewers. Doesnt matter if you have 300,000 subs if you average 300 CCV. A good sub-to-viewer rate is 0.3%. Meaning that with 200,000 subs you should at least have 600 CCV.

I haven't heard anyone say super duper since the fucking 90s. Now I hear it 4 times a day. This psyop is getting too big.

Yeah it's somehow becoming trendy (at least with vtuber people and fans) but what's weird is they are typically not saying it sarcastically. Just a quick search on PC discord I see people ONLY using it strait like "It's super duper sunny" when it IS very sunny and such. In the past this phrase was virtually always sarcastic.

In short, the Puyo puyo is the GOAT in this VS game. It is a known fact, as the developer changed the tetris attack rules to make sure puyo puyo won't be at disadvantages. Next time maybe the tournament should either make puyo puyo or tetris only

Edit: To make sure people won't say I am talking out of my arse, I will just cite a wiki to show the balancing issue:

"In Versus and Party, the number of lines sent is based on whether a Tetris player is challenging a Tetris or Puyo player. In Tetris-only matches, the attack table is the same as in most guideline games, while in matches with Puyo and Tetris players, the same tables are used but with nerfs to adjust game balance, as well as the margin time system applying to Tetris attacks."
