The homeland thread is just a shadow of what it used to be: it's much slower, most of the info posted there is the same as what you find here because it's the same people double-dipping, the spaces left behind by the regulars who moved permanently have been filled by a rotation of tourists, lurkers and newfriends, some fun drama doesn't get discussed at all while petty shit does, nolan's posts are much more visible since there aren't enough people to drown him out, etc. It doesn't mean it isn't worth a visit once in a while, some stuff does get discussed there and not here, and some posters with interesting info avenues never made the jump.

Edit: Honestly the thread was great because it was a balance of positivity and negativity, when a lot of the posters left it lost this sense of "Wide-eyed wonder" or playfulness (which some could say never had a place there to begin with) and was just left with the biting cynicism that characterizes the homeland. Now, I am a pessimistic asshole myself, but sometimes you are in the mood for something else without it having TOO MUCH sugar you know?
