We thought that when Nyanners, Silvervale and Veibae quit, too.

Granted, now we also have Froot not streaming for eight months and ongoing, no idea about the activity levels of other members.

But we know better than to count them out just now.
Why are we on about this. Ironhouse is too big to fail just because Geega or Froot stop.

like seriously as much as i like Geega and think shes one of Vshos better talents shes not exactly putting up anywhere near MenheraRous's numbers

Maybe if Zentroon fucks off? That would indicate something extra deeply wrong.

I have exposited about this at length but vshojo works in the reverse way other corpos or at least Holo/Niji work.
While what we'll call "traditional agencies" grow by acquiring talent which they essentially reset back to 0 with new identities and then try to push into popularity, vshojo (and more and more western agencies like phase and all of the post-selendrama startups) simply take already pre-built talent with a fair amount of popularity, which I may be biased, but is MUCH easier and requires basically no time and just involves throwing money and/or good PR (empty promises) at people.

The downside to that approach is that it does not build brand loyalty, less if people are just allowed to leave with their IP. The people who come in as a talent's premade audience are only there for that talent, when the talent goes the audience will follow. Thus these agencies trend a lot more towards MCNs or shit like streamer groups, which is why I have never agreed with putting them in the same "corpo" classification as shit like Holo.

Tl;dr: The west took one look at vtubing's weird gimmicky nature and said "nah I'll just do OTK again but they only show their faces 50% of the time"
Phase Connect has a strong brand identity, the talents it acquires as "Invaders" feel like they share the brand of the company and meet the expectations Phase Connect fans have of talents. That's why Clio, Sleepy and MariMari_EN greatly increased their YouTube presence after debuting with Phase, reaching as many subs as they had previously had on Twitch - the primarily YouTube audience of Phase Connect felt that they belonged in Phase Connect. Did their audiences check out the other Phase Connect talents after debut? I suspect so but that's harder to provide numbers for.

Vshojo, I feel has weak brand identity. Being an ex-corpo talent does have superficial similarities to Phase Connect's "Phase Invaders" but what do I expect from a new Vshojo talent? I have no idea. Which is why I don't feel the comparison between Phase and Vshojo is quite warranted here - Phase is also concerned with brand identity in a way I feel Vshojo is not.

Phase Invaders add to the Phase Connect brand, Vshojo's talent debuts just muddies their brand further. Similar programs but completely different outcomes.

I just think they're still figuring how to do stuff...

If VShojo died tomorrow would it really even matter?

They don't do big events often or anything like a normal corpo nor is there a lot of group cohesion outside of maybe the new JPs. Most members interact with other vtubers more than they do VShojo members. They all own their IPs and many of them also work with other companies outside VShojo for management and sponsorships. Geega and Matara both did.

I don't think fans of the talents give two shits about the Vshojo name. I've wanted to buy a Henya keycap set since they first dropped the last batch of keycaps but when they finally dropped one for her I noticed that there's no normal Esc. key instead you get two ugly VShojo logo keys that clash with the look of the set.

In brand new industry? With extremely fluid, saturated, high risk market? That's nothing.

it would be an interesting shakeup insofar as its the biggest EN corpo on paper and somewhat in practice even if they dont leverage this fact as much as traditional corpos do with their loose structure and unorthodox (for the vtubing corpo side) way of people keeping their IPs, even if they were handed to them

forgot to note, but jesus, those keycaps look inda ugly
compare that to Suisei's hyte keycaps

Holo 5th Fes' caps had the logo on them but they matched with the overall scheme of the keyboard, and it was a very broad promo set instead of a specific character's shit, instead of yellow on purple and lighter purple

But even 4th Gen's keycap set was more low-key and hololive logo-less besides a (white) blue dorito that blended in well as the escape key

especially with how much of it is "limited time/edition" which seems like it's terrible for hitting MOQs.
No that's exactly why they do it. They can't get them made on demand and don't want to pay for storage and logistics, so they make one order, everyone who wants a standee has to buy the only model they're selling right now, and the FOMO probably boosts sales too.
very curious on how they will handle their home grown from zero talent
That's the neat part, they won't.

OOOOOO this game is great, absolute cinema, but kinda long and slow grindy progression. 2 people gonna be boring, better 3-4. They gonna get filtered and never touch it again.

I like having a few accent keys but Suisei's set has too much going on for me. I'm also not a big fan of a bunch of different pastels like with the other two sets.

I think Doki's Hyte set is one of their better ones cause it's not quite as busy, even if I'm not a fan of the color scheme. The picture is really low res for some reason.

That autistic dude who makes giant cut outs could be making millions selling those things.

I knew mentioning phase was a bad idea, turned from "vshojo's branding conversation" into "phase's branding conversation"
I was just making a point about western corpos in general and the growth of inductions rather than debuts.
