They're taking their sweet time to show the results of the last audition wave. I'm nooticing.
Ironmouse killed Geega, what makes you think she won't kill the auditions?

They're going to need an absolute smash hit of a debut to make up for all of this shit, if their core fanbase even cares though
They either get someone mid-size from the auditions and the numbers don't make up for the people who've left, or they get someone big and the autistic nepo-hire discourse starts again.

Either way we get a VShojo L to enjoy.

Doubtful, I don't even think there's that much cross pollination between each talent's fanbases. I've felt the majority are like Nijisisters, larping they watch any more than two talents.

As long as V has TinLemming, Zen, Henya and maybe Melody, they'll be fine

I'm wondering how strong the Vshojo brand actually is. Sure, people will turn up for a debut, but I'm wondering how much of that is casual vtubing fans wondering which ex-corpo talent has joined Vshojo, and how much of the audience is loyal to the vshojo brand. I know companies like Hololive or Phase have viewers loyal to the brand, and primarily watch only Hololive or only Phase Connect. Does that same brand loyalty exist to the level for Vshojo, or are Vshojo viewers primarily fans that were acquired under the talent's previous incarnations and largely don't care about the Vshojo corpo itself?

Anime Expo is the next big opportunity to make a splash. They currently have the annual Mouse x Cdawg panel and one for Nova announced, but they could get another panel or similar event for possible debuts. But it would be cutting it close with only about a week left until AX starts.

Nobody read it since I posted it into the void that is the VShojo thread, but Kuro recently said he was very excited for several big things coming up:
Edit: Also, Kuro has been teasing "big things coming" on his stream, lots of big projects and the like. Says things are moving fast, it'll probably happen soon and "even if you're not looking for it, you'll see, that's how big a deal it is". Might be copium, but it definitely sounds like stuff beyond just himself, so it might be the VShojo debuts. Then again, he said it's stuff "we couldn't even predict" so it might be something completely different. He sounds really excited.
"Big project happening soon" would definitely fit something around AX.

I find it hilarious that active members are leaving but Froot, Hime and Haruka who stream less than Gura are still on the roster

Froot taking the "winning by doing nothing" approach way too literally ngl

VShojo's following are far more normie than other corpos so I'm pretty sure it's their marketing efforts drawing attention to their streamers more than their (almost non-existent) brand identity. The culture in their community feels indistinguishable from any other English-speaking vtuber clique on Twitch.

What brand? They've had 2 concerts in 5 years, they rarely promote merch, and I can't think of any sponsorships they have done

their brand is pretty much propelled solely by its own rep and talents they onboard
Their one source of identity was the talent freedom meme and being not like the others, with a smattering of the retirement home meme later on, but they really dont seemingly have much as far as outreach goes. Maybe the shtick of being the twitch corpo

So Geega telling it's "just business", she assessed the situation and decided that arrangement not working out for her in the end. So she pulled the plug early, despite contract expiring in august. Ongoing merch is up in the air and she's not sure who gonna end up shipping out the orders.

I have exposited about this at length but vshojo works in the reverse way other corpos or at least Holo/Niji work.
While what we'll call "traditional agencies" grow by acquiring talent which they essentially reset back to 0 with new identities and then try to push into popularity, vshojo (and more and more western agencies like phase and all of the post-selendrama startups) simply take already pre-built talent with a fair amount of popularity, which I may be biased, but is MUCH easier and requires basically no time and just involves throwing money and/or good PR (empty promises) at people.

The downside to that approach is that it does not build brand loyalty, less if people are just allowed to leave with their IP. The people who come in as a talent's premade audience are only there for that talent, when the talent goes the audience will follow. Thus these agencies trend a lot more towards MCNs or shit like streamer groups, which is why I have never agreed with putting them in the same "corpo" classification as shit like Holo.

Tl;dr: The west took one look at vtubing's weird gimmicky nature and said "nah I'll just do OTK again but they only show their faces 50% of the time"

Amiya Aranha will play the PS1 Ghost in the Shell game, the one with cool spider robot tank combat.

I can't believe how nice she looks with that outfit

their entire brand makes me very curious on how they will handle their home grown from zero talent like a traditional agency, their most traditional branch, the JPs, seem to be all low-mid three views in spite of having the support of the number 1 western corpo. Of course, this is obviously not indicating that they would treat their western talent like that, becuase of the language and all. But they have about the same rough CCV as Phase Kaleido's JP only talents, which is kinda rough considering how much VSJ dwarfs Phase (since they are also an example of a western corpo with a JP branch)

Looking a little bleak for ironmouse inc
We thought that when Nyanners, Silvervale and Veibae quit, too.

Granted, now we also have Froot not streaming for eight months and ongoing, no idea about the activity levels of other members.

But we know better than to count them out just now.

ok, I'm probably making a tachikoma figure, always wanted to do it, and I'm far, far away from my home until december at least, so I don't have many tools to make another (graduated) vtuber...
