The point is that they've had so many graduations that the holes in the existing gen lineups are uncomfortably obvious, so this is a low-effort smoke-and-mirrors tactic to hide how high their turnover rate is.Maybe it's on me since i don't watch their streams, but I don't understand the purpose of this unless these are supposed to be singing/idol subunits.
The reasonable rebuttal to this I saw earlier is that by prioritising sales to their own community with other Hololive fans being at the bottom of the totem pole, there will be an overrepresentation of Bae fans and an underrepresentation of everyone else. YMMV if that matters in the grand scheme of things, but it puts her in an awkward position where it looks like her fans are hoarding the tickets.on one hand, scalpers aren't human and shouldn't have rights
on the other hand, this isn't scalping, if they're being distributed within their community at cost - if anything, it's a preventative measure against scalpers, which should be applauded!
Personally I wouldn't fault someone for pouncing on extra tickets to offer their friends if the opportunity arose, but doing it for good-boy points in a Discord seems a bit gay.
