Yeah, she might post her art or the occasional song cover on her Shachi Twitter account, but I think she's probably done with vtubing. She probably wants to pursue a career in marine biology or whatever degree she has now. It's sad for her fans, but if she's happy then good for her.

I somewhat agree with this. Atleast until she gets slapped by reality and ends up having to work with shitty people for a not-so-great pay and realizes that she was making bank and earning twice or three times what one would normally earn by basically working 6-8 hours a week. Additionally the freedom that shit gives you is something that you will never get with any other work.

At Twitchcon I met a vtuber who did a full rebrand that was telegraphed several months in advance and she STILL had fans with high-tier subs confusedly going 'wait wtf where did my oshi go, why am I a tier 3 sub to this random new channel I for some reason have a ton of watchtime for?! FFS I hate Twitch, unsubbed, screaming into the void on /vt/ to mourn my vanished oshi!!!!'

The fans are fucking retarded. Even some of the Hololive fans dont know where the fuck Ame and Fauna went. That said its not smart to be too obvious about where you are going. Best let those retards find out on their own than to bruteforce shit and end up either breaking some term of the contract before even starting and getting terminated for it. LIke Hexa did.

From what I'm hearing from Nyana's stream is that she got scammaged by the editor, who half assed the job, and when she alluded to not pay fully for a half assed job, said editor deleted all the evidence and told the discord mods to kick her out.
She then had to pick up the pieces and try to salvage it (allegedly).

Not an editor but it seems everything is rendered through a special program and they are the ones in charge of basically rendering everything.

This would be time where she should publicly call them out and ensure they never get hired again.

I think she is avoiding it for now because they are still working on things even if she had to get a 3rd person to work on it on top of them. Her throwing them under the bus now might mean that they drop everything.

I would still call them out after everything is done or atleast push to get a refund.

She had health issues that made it impossible for her to continue. Hopefully her health will improve, but if it doesn't, she may not be capable of doing a job that involves using her voice in the way that a vtuber does.

She went to school and spent the time and effort required to earn a degree. If she wasn't planning to pursue a career in the field in which she earned that degree, then it was a waste of her time and money. I don't think that Mumei was planning to make vtubing her career. I think that she was always planning to finish school and move on to something else. I think that she just saw vtubing as a fun thing to do to pay the bills until she could finish school and find a job in her chosen field. Not everyone is planning to be a granny streaming from the retirement home someday, and that's okay. I'm sure that her time in Hololive will always be a cherished memory for her to look back on, but maybe being a vtuber isn't what she wants to do with the rest of her life, and that's okay too.

If she was earning as much as you seem to think she was, and she invested wisely, she probably doesn't have to worry too much about money for a while. If nothing else, she probably was able to repay all of her student loans. She may genuinely be happier doing some other sort of work, even if it doesn't pay as well.
