If Phase isn't a full-stop "medium" corpo, at least in the EN space, then who is? They're at 29.1 talents, most of whom (on the EN side) are at least occasional 4-views, with some being expected 4-views whose CCV aren't far off from HoloID and even occasionally flirt with the lower end of HoloEN noombers. There's obviously a big gap between them and Holo/Niji in terms of total market share, but the only other possible contender for the "Medium is Premium" crown is Brave Group, which is a frankencorpo with pieces constantly falling off, and which generally doesn't get the live audiences that Phase does.

I don't think there are any true medium size corpos in the entire industry. Sure, you can isolate stuff by noombers ex-JP but it doesn't account for the fact that HoloID, HoloEN, and NijiEN all have massive inbuilt advantages for things like merchandising and brand collaborations. Brave is still pretty small when compared to Cover and Anycolor but I guess they would be the """closest""" to medium size. As far as corpos go, the industry is a duopoly with a few much smaller players. Compared to another industry, I don't think many people would consider companies like Embraer, Bombardier, UAC, and COMAC to be medium size when they're playing in the same sandbox as Airbus and Boeing.

None of this categorization matters anyway but it's interesting to think about.

Well said, people often isolate the "EN market" as if it exists in a vacuum just to make these kinds of points, but the truth is that the industry is a mix of JP and EN, you can't just discount the massive hold JP still has over the money that flows into companies and thus influences who lives and dies to make points about "medium corpos".

Imo medium corpos just don't exist, you're either doing it on discord out of your bedroom or you get an office and employees. People in the former always wanna jump to the latter, and at some point everyone, even phase, will have to in order to keep growing. This "We're so fucking popular! B-but don't judge us too much! were still newbies!" duality is going to have to end at some point.

A vague sense of "Popularity" is generally not a good way to measure corpos imo, popularity is just how much algorithms favor you, to truly take advantage of it you need backend foundations and good business sense, else it's just gonna be a flash in the pan. Same deal goes with investing in a ton of offices and shit like brave does but having none of the clicks to justify it.
